  1. It would not work because your switch needs 100-240V AC input, whereas your PSU outputs 12V, 5V, or 3.3V DC. At any rate, why would you want to do that?

The more you learn the more you realize you don't know shit Like I thought I knew a fair bit about SSDs then I realized I have no idea how the fuck an SSD controller works and barely know how the NAND flash works
  3. I've taken a break from seriously following tech the past couple of months, instead just choosing to take a look at the news when some important stuff get's launched. I'd forgotten just how ridiculous people get over tech products. The comments section in the Ryzen 3000 reviews get's pretty ridiculous. I also saw some idiotic comment on reddit calling Anandtech Intel shills when they literally gave the 3000 series their silver award; even a mere "Anandtech recommended" award is few and far between; silver awards are extremely rare.

Oh and I haven't even looked at the absolute cancer that the youtube comments sections probably are. I enjoy tech a lot but the idiots that get super loyal to companies and then flame anyone who dares oppose them are so annoying

  4. That's a solid deal. MP300 is a pretty low end NVMe drive but at that price it's competing with low end SATA SSDs which are worse. 660p is a bit faster when it's not full but when it fills up it'll get a lot slower than the MP300, so MP300 is probably fine. What is this integral drive you're talking about? I can't find anything on it
  5. That's a pretty decent price for the SN500, decent SATA SSDs are already that much and this should be a bit better than any SATA SSD so I'd say get the SN500
  6. Anandtech has a good review on the SN500, it's a pretty good budget NVMe drive especially since it keeps performance pretty well even when it fills up, while the QLC of the 660p can't keep up when it fills up. I would go for it unless you can find decent SATA SSDs that cost a fair bit less https://www.anandtech.com/show/14223/the-western-digital-wd-blue-sn500-ssd-review
  7. Out of those 2 I would probably choose the pixel, though keep in mind that the OnePlus 7 is launching soon and might be worth looking into. Pretty sure the pixel visual core only helps speed up hdr processing and doesn't really enhance image quality. Iirc the pixel camera app doesn't even use it anyways, it's only third party stuff like snapchat that uses it
  8. Yeah these are industrial grade psus so they don't really care about efficiency, if you check the product pages on all of them they list them as only 65% efficiency lol. It might be a little bit better than going to AC and then back again but it's probably not worth the $400 or whatever you'd have to pay for the psu
  9. They exist but you'd have to pay a pretty hefty price for them since it's a relatively obscure use case so you're looking at industrial stuff https://www.powerstream.com/DC-PC-12V.htm EDIT: Not to mention these are meant for server racks so you'd have to make it a little ghetto to fit the PSU in
  10. I'm looking into buying some noise cancelling headphones that I would use as my headphones for my desktop as well as on plane rides and longer car rides. I don't have a set budget, so if there's any good deals on headphones I could stretch as high as $400 but I'd rather stay in the $150-$250 range. The things I need are ANC, an option to be wired (wireless would be a nice bonus, as long as it can also be used wired), and I want them to be comfortable over long period of use. A mode where I can listen in on my surroundings would also be nice, but isn't necessary. Sound quality is obviously important, but it's not the most important thing for me since I'm not that sensitive to audio quality. As long as they're pretty good, it's fine for me. I've looked at a couple of options, and the top wireless headphones seem to be the Bose QC35s and Sony WH1000XM3's. However, these are definitely towards the expensive side at $350 ish. From what I've seen, the QC25's are basically just wired QC35s... is this true? If so, I'm not sure if I would want to pay an extra $150 for QC35s or WH1000XM3's if the main advantage is simply being wireless. QC25's are only $180, which is around half the price of the other two. However, yesterday I also saw a deal on these Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H9i's for $370; they're usually $500. From the little that I've seen, it sounds like these are like the QC35s and WH1000XM3's but with better sound quality... Is this true? If so, is it worth getting over the QC25s? https://www.amazon.com/Bang-Olufsen-Headphones-Cancellation-Transparency/dp/B078HSVK7M?tag=geapat-20 So those are the two main headphones I'm looking at ATM. Which should I choose, and are there other headphones out there that are even better deals? Thanks for the help
  11. To be honest with you I have no idea, I just saw your post and did a quick search on it to see what I could find ?. You could wait to see if someone more knowledgeable might have any clue; otherwise, it looks like android stackexchange could be a solid place to look for info or maybe somewhere like xda could be a solid place to ask
  12. Yeah, Crucial is one of the biggest brands when it comes to SSDs. 120gb SSDs also tend to be a little slower, though most likely you wouldn't notice much of a difference if you're just launching apps or whatever. As for the storage side of things, I would personally just go for the 240gb due to how close they are price-wise. It gives you more room in case you ever install more programs. Ultimately it's up to you though; if you really don't need more than 120gb, then you might as well save some money.
  13. I think it's stored elsewhere; you need to be rooted to view the files https://android.stackexchange.com/questions/164580/cant-find-data-folder-of-an-installed-game
  14. You shouldn't really shop by brand but rather by individual SSD. Brands might have good and bad SSDs. Towards the budget end the best SSD is usually the BX500 ATM. If I were you I would lean towards getting the 240gb model seeing as the 120gb is $25 while the 240gb is $32. https://pcpartpicker.com/product/VqgzK8/crucial-bx500-120gb-25-solid-state-drive-ct120bx500ssd1 https://pcpartpicker.com/product/mdc48d/crucial-bx500-240gb-25-solid-state-drive-ct240bx500ssd1
  15. That seems pretty normal for an HDD, TBH. If you think it is HDD related though you could try defragmenting your hard drive; that could help a bit with performance. However, those numbers don't seem too out of the ordinary, so I doubt your HDD is the issue. More likely it's something else. What exactly are you seeing when you say "performing awfully"? Is it large FPS dips occasionally, constantly low fps, or something else?

HOW ARE YOU STILL USING THAT GENERIC PROFILE PIC

    yes
  17. I'm not entirely sure what your question is in regards to Warhammer. Does the game not run well or something? Your mobo should be compatible with basically any modern SSD.
  18. I don't think so, considering that the Meshify C only has 315 mm clearance with just a front fan mounted, and the amp extreme is already 308 mm long. Have you considered going with a 280 mm rad up top instead?
  19. Yeah it should be more than enough. Only thing I ask though... why an 8700k+B360 board instead of, say, an 8700+B360 board or 8700k+Z370/Z390?

These are quite common in LA; the top 3 are red yellow and green and the bottom two are turn arrows
  23. Guys, I have some insane news you guys are not going to believe it. Apple's next iPhone is going to launch in the same time frame it always does. I know it's very surprising and you guys probably aren't gonna believe it, but trust me, it's true.
  24. And unfortunately only 10 series and 20 series cards are supported. I was excited since I have a freesync panel and a 970 until I found that out. Feelsbad
