there is currently around a 400 swedish crowns difference between the 8700k and 9700k, around 50 us dollars, not sure at all id its owrth it or not, I'd like to point out that i would prefer a motherboard with a somewhat decent onboard audio chip as im currently using a ASUS xonar d2, and I've yet to find any onboard audio chip that come close to the fidelity of the stand-alone audio card

So i just got a RTX 2070 which is currently paired to a i7 3770k stock. Im looking for an upgrade to my cpu/MB/RAM to avoid bottlenecking which im currently experiencing in quite a few titles like BF5,OW, and surprisingly CS:GO. Im looking for a cpu that will last somewhere around the same as my current i7, but with all the rumours of the upcoming Ryzen 2 and the current superiority of the i7 9700k and i9 9900k, I am highly confused if i should just try to OC my current cpu and hold on for maybe 6 months and see whats down the line from Intel and AMD. If anyone can recommend what my next cpu should be and whether i should go for faster RAM, i.e 3200+ MHz is my real question here. I have a 1440p 144hz monitor but im not really looking to play AAA-games at that framrate, however I would really like to be able to play the e-sports titles with stable 144+ FPS. So, any recommendations from you fine people would be greatly appreciated!

Hey! I currently use an Asus xonar D2/PM in my PC. I'm thinking about upgrading this set up in the near future but I'm unsure what to get instead. I've been looking at USB DAC/Amp combos but I know too little about audio equipment to draw any meaningful conclusions from a spec sheet. My current audio equpiment is the Philips Fidelio x1 and Antlion ModMic 4. I've ordered the HIFIMAN HE4xx and I'm expecting them shortly. I'm simply looking for a way to get more out of this set up, in the 300 dollar /250 euro range. Is it somehow possible to get a notebook with the same or better performance as my rig right now? I've been looking to buy a notebook now for a while but the performance isn't on par with my regular PCs, up until (recently) when maxwell-m gpus were released. So my specs are the following I7 3770k at stock, have overclocked it but my chip sucks apparently. gigabyte Gtx 780 windforce Rev 2 16 gigs of ddr3 250 gb SSD, 840 evo h100i gtx or whatever the fuck its called. mobo asrock z77 blablabla

So I just arrived in the US and a Customs officer started asked very weird questions. After the regular questions, where im going and what im going to do, he just dropeed the bomb on me and asked if I had a laptop with me. I answered yes and he then started to ask how old it was and why i brought it here, where i bought it and what make it was. Does anyone know why the hell he asked these questions? Also, what other weird conversations have you had with customs?

Hey! I have huge difficulties when installing the AM1 Athlon cpu cooler, it just wont work. I've aligned the two little "buttons" with the holes, but I cant get them through the holes. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Hey. My school bought notebooks for all the students in my grade. Since day one there has been a huge amount of failures on many of the computers. The model is a Lenovo x121e with an AMD e-something with HD 6310 graphics or something. I'm not sure what the hell is wrong with these computers, but for the most part, students cant even use google chrome properly or even writing a document in word. These simple tasks causes the computers to just seem so slow, that it is not worth the time trying to write a document on that given lesson. So what do you guys think that the problem is?

Should maybe add that i do need a good screen..
