  1. thank you as you said, i am aware of this i will not run the pump dry
  2. thanks. this option did not come to mind. i have very limited experience in water cooling. i have a spare psu and a psu jumper as well. i will run just the d5 pump and see whether it makes the noise or not.
  3. gigabyte z370 gaming 5 i7 8700k 2 1080tis from gigabyte 2 loops - 1 for the cpu and 1 for the 1080tis 2 d5 pumps i think that the d5 pump in the gpu loop is making a noise. i am not sure though. i want to make certain that the noise is coming from the d5 pump. i am finding it difficult to isolate the source of the noise. right now my dell u2417h is plugged into one of the 1080tis. can i unplug my monitor from the 1080ti and plug it to the on board graphics and also unplug the d5 pump in the gpu loop from the psu? the gpu loop will not be running, since the d5 pump in the gpu loop will be unplugged. is there any risk in doing this? will the 1080tis get overheated?
  4. i don't know. the computer is not for me. it is for a relative of mine. i just wanted to get some clarification on compatibility before ordering the parts.
  5. getting cpu, ram, 2tb mechanical hard disk and the graphics card for a relatively low price. thanks to a person i know.
  6. yes. it is overkill. just a little bit of future proofing.
  7. motherboard https://www.amazon.in/Gigabyte-GA-H110M-S2-Socket-Motherboard-Black/dp/B019ZLM7A0/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1522764787&sr=8-7&keywords=7th+gen+motherboard graphics card https://www.primeabgb.com/online-price-reviews-india/msi-geforce-gtx-1080-armor-8g-oc-graphic-card/ ram - ddr4 16gb [2 8gb sticks] cpu - i7 7700 question - will the cpu, ram and mainly the graphics card be compatible with the motherboard?
  8. sorry. did not expect this question. i should have worded my question differently. both the video cards are water cooled. i just wanted to know whether my decision to go with water cooling was a good one. have changed the question now.
  9. https://www.gigabyte.com/us/Graphics-Card/GV-N108TAORUS-11GD#kf i have 2 of these cards in sli they will only be used for 4k gaming they are water cooled when i was planning the build i had to make the choice between air cooling and water cooling. i went ahead with water cooling. questions so did i make the right choice? are there any issues with gaming at 4k on air cooled video cards in sli?
  10. whenever i boot the system there is a red cross on the network icon in the system tray can't access internet if i restart the system the red cross on the network icon goes away the red cross also goes away if i scan for hardware changes on the intel gigabit network connection under network adapters in device manager [https://drive.google.com/open?id=1OONEsz-N8yFbTGrQ_3U4MWd4JpZl-czU] windows 10 64 bit motherboard - intel dh61ww why is this happening? what should i do to solve this issue?
  11. thanks. i did watch quite a lot of videos on this topic before posting here. didn't click on this particular one though.
  12. i have 2 aorus 1080tis each of them has got 2 sli fingers. 2 cards makes a total of 4 sli fingers. what determines the number of sli fingers that need to be connected? will the video cards work if i use a flexible sli bridge that only connects 2 of the 4 sli fingers? or do i have to connect all the 4 sli fingers? also will the video cards work if i use 2 flexible sli bridges to connect all 4 sli fingers instead of using a single hb bridge?
  13. well this is something that is not intentional. in my country, water cooling is in very early stages. getting a pc like this built is pretty difficult as only a very few people offer such services. everyone learns by making mistakes. such mistakes will be avoided once a person has acquired a considerable amount of experience. the person who built this pc is pretty young. perhaps will be more experienced after a few years. now that i have understood what the problem is perhaps he and i can make the necessary changes together. i am sorry but i wouldn't criticize him for this.
  14. the gpu reservoir is the one that is leaking. the cpu reservoir is fine. the cpu reservoir is the one which has got the most bubbles. the gpu reservoir on the other hand has got only a very few bubbles. i don't know a lot about water cooling. saw bubbles and thought that i would just get it clarified here.
