  1. i was talking to a friend regarding this, and i think he mentioned that Linus himself kinda did not recommend the 870 over the 860, i might have been mistaken though
  2. yeah i do agree with the ram there, gaming will be the main thing im doing on the laptop in terms of games that im gonna play, probably tomb raider, battlefield 4 and hardline beta, maybe i might get titanfall, Grid Autosport, Farcry 3, but what i am thinking is that im not going to be playing them at maximum settings all the time, tone down Anti Aliasing and anistropic Filtering Also in terms of a price difference in the UK i worked it out to be a extra 18-20% extra cost for the 870 over the 860, although thats £200 its not that bad.
  3. Hi all i am sort of thinking of getting a slim laptop for some mobile gaming and i was thinking of getting a Msi Gs70 with either a GTX 860m or GTX 870m which in the UK retails for about £1199 for the 860m and 12gig of ram or £1399 for the spec with a 870m and 16gig of ram. I have sort of been informed by a friend that for the sake of £200 extra the 870m and a extra 4gig of ram is not justifiable in terms of the extra cost over the 860m and 12gig ram i kinda wanted to get some opinions on this before i end up spending a large amount of money on a 17" laptop, what do you folks think, would the extra £200 spend be worth it for a few extra FPS or is it better to save some money and go for the 860m and 12gig model http://www.overclockers.co.uk/search_results.php?keywords=gs70&_=1403397141995 would possibily be the site i would use to get it regards Subzie
  4. well considering I am not watercooling my computer that's irrelevant, ACX has had some excellent reviews and evga's warranty I heard was good so that's the reason I went for one
  5. well I used to have a 6950 Twin Frozr 3 and it was great, but now im on a evga 780 acx so for me now its ACX of evga

    Fans for H60

okie so mount the radiator with push and pull, pushing the air out the case that's fine now in terms of fans, I saw the Corsair SP and AF line of fans and was looking at a SP one for the push through the radiator, but for pull would another SP one be ok or a AF one be ok also quiet or performance fans, not sure which ones Or does anyone have a suggestion as to a different brand potentially other than corsair for the fans

    Fans for H60

hi folks Im kind of looking to change my fan that I use on my H60 which is mounted to my stock 2600k, currently I have 1x Akasa Viper on push but its pushing the air into the case, im looking to swap that out for something else. I was looking at the Corsair SP120 fans and wondering if I should go with 2 of these fans in a push/pull configuration pushing the air through the radiator and out the back of the case, or would it be more advised to go for 1x SP120 for pushing the air and a AF120 to pull it outside the back of my case which is a Antec 1200. currently in my case I have 3x120mm at the front for intake, 1x200mm at the top for exhaust and 1x120mm at the back for exhaust as well if anyone has got any good suggestions then that would be appreciated as the response on the corsair forums I had was a bit lacklustre and I follow LTT for a while now so I thought id give this community a try as well. any help would be awesome Subzie PS, on a side note, do I actually need to mount the fans with all 4 screws or can I just use 2 on 1 of the fans and the other 2 on the other fan,
