  1. It's still running at 949 Mhz, don't know what to do EDIT: suddenly its working. Must have needed a few restarts because I changed nothing. Thanks anyway, you have solved the problem
  2. It doesn't even get the chance to get hot, it stays at 39 degrees. load temps are under 70.
  3. Hey all, For some reason, as of yesterday my GPU refuses to go above 948MHz core clock. I use a GTX 980, which normally clocks to way higher on its own. I use MSI Afterburner, and have the following settings. I can clock it down if I want to, it will go to 500Mhz as soon as I tell it to, but it will NOT go above that cursed number. I have tried updating GPU drivers, reinstalling MSI afterburner and tried using EVGA precision X, same issue there. The memory clock seems to change fine. And yes, I did try to see the numbers when I play GPU intensive games, it stays at 948Mhz and my fps gets murdered. It doesn't even reach close to the card's core clock at like 1250. What can I do??
  4. Ok I see. Thanks for your help. Since my dad is buying a pc as well, he will buy the super, and I will wait until the drop. if prices drop significantly, then all is well and if not its ok I can buy the new ones. Thanks again for your help @TofuHaroto
  5. do you think the 2070 super prices will drop significantly when the new graphics cards are released? @TofuHaroto
  6. I also had that suspicion. I was just unsure about whether it was getting value because it is a bit more expensive than the RX 5500 XT so I am not sure if I should wait for the new GPU's to launch? @TofuHaroto
  7. its under my ocmments and my post, in my signature
  8. Title says it all, want to play VR games at very high quality (oculus Rift S) and please consider their price in Australian dollars. The 2070 super is what I was going to get, just double checking with you all if it is a good idea. its $500 USD and thus should be around $760 AUD but in reality the shops are selling it for far more, like $900-$1000. What other options do I have? Budget: under $1200
  9. I ended up researching and found this to be the best option with lowest refresh gtg times and smearing, ended up buying it. waiting now for delivery in a week's time thanks for your recommendation
  10. Hey all, Need a new gaming monitor that is 144hz 1ms 1080p good for gaming and around 250$ AUD. I wasn't sure if TN or IPS was right for the monitor. I have a GTX 980, looking to play csgo and league with competetive monitor. Thank you
  11. this is fantastic, ONE fucking day before my VR headset arrives my pc breaks. fuck my fucking life.
