  1. My set up is an FX 6300 with an R9 280x. . I use a Logitech keyboard and mouse from the couch.
  2. I have an R9 280x. Can't think of any reason that I wouldn't want a new graphics card.
  3. Using a wireless one. I've never really used a decent gaming keyboard before.
  4. I just saw a NCIX video that Linus did, and he used the phrase "Pimp My Dell" to refer to an old video where he had tried unsuccessfully upgrade a prebuilt system. I think that this would make an excellent third Scrapyard Wars. Scrapyard Wars III: Pimp My Dell. Start with a pre built off of ebay or out of someone's basement, and then try to turn it into a gaming machine. You would need to budget first the base computer, and then have a separate budget for the parts. The initial PC would need to be big box Dell, HP, Compaq, E-machine or whatever, not just a PC that someone built and was selling. The fun would be in watching the solutions to unexpected problems. A quick look at ebay shows a complete system with an I5 2400 for less than $150 bucks, but the power supply isn't going to be enough to power a GTX 750 ti probably. It would be interesting to see where the sweet spot was between CPU and graphics card. How much can you skimp on CPU and still get playable framerates with a decent graphics card? Do you get a great CPU in a proprietary case, and then spend some of your upgrade dough on a standard case? It might be fun to have a junk pool too, some communal parts that have to be traded for with mutual agreement on the trade. You might even be able to get a manufacturer to supply you with the PSUs for the builds. Get someone like Corsair to donate and give viewers a discount code for 10% off on the website or something. Manufacturers, if they have a direct sales channel like Corsair does, usually are selling a little high in the first place. It would be good publicity, and Linus is without shame as a pitchman. One last thing that I would suggest is taking more time between steps, or at least take a good couple weeks or more to find the initial system. Buying used is about taking the time to find the right deal. Film the whole thing, edit the whole thing, and then post the updates on a regular schedule. That lets you say something like, subscribe so you don't miss the next episode next Friday.
