  1. I finally found the solution it turned out to be a ram issue so i RMA'd the corsair sticks and swapped them with some kingston valueram 2400mhz and everything looks to be running fine (hopefully)
  2. It looks like i found the solution (hopefully) i RMA'd the ram and swapped in some generic green kingston dimms and it looks like the issue is gone Thanks
  3. I dont think there is a faulty slot because i tried all the other empty 3 slots and the issue still exists but as soon as i remove one of the sticks everything is fine
  4. Hello So i already made a post about a massive issue that i faced with my new pc build and it turned out that the solution was removing one of the 8gb sticks of Corsair Vengance RGB Pro @3000mhz from my gigabyte b450 auros elite board. Now im wondering if swapping it with a kit of sk hynix 2400 mhz of 2x8 gb sticks will work fine or if maybe the issue could be solved another way that doesnt involve swapping hardware. Note: Bios has already been updated to the latest version Thanks
  5. Those two and the cinebench open GL test but unigine heaven and 3d mark run perfectly fine
  6. Update: So i replaced the 1070 with the only other gpu i had on hand which was an rx 570 and the issue disappeared, but because the rx 570 is less power hungry than the 1070 i assumed i had narrowed down the issue to either the gpu itself or the psu. So i headed down to my local pc shop and we started by trying the closest gpu to the 1070 they had (a 1070ti) but the issue still remained. At this point we thought the issue was defo just the psu but after replacing the psu with a corsair cx 750 THE ISSUE STILL REMAINED. So far i have removed the gpu and power supply as possible hardware variables but i still haven't found the root of the issue. Could it be ram??? Then again why would using a less powerful gpu get rid of the issue ?!? Idk what to do at this point any advice is greatly appreciated
  7. Im assuming you mean drivers such as the lan and sound drivers if so then yes
  8. I haven't applied any overclock on any part so there is nothing to disable
  9. nvm i tried disabling hd audio bus but the problem still persisits This is starting to worry me a lot
  10. And for some reason the game audio in fortnite doesnt work as well so it might actually be an audio issue
  11. I dont know if this could help but the error code fortnite spits out is LogConsoleResponse: Display: Failed to find resolution value strings in scalability ini. Falling back to default.
  12. Hello So i just built my pc yesterday and ive been facing a major issue where any game I try would run fine for about 10-15 minutes then the game would freeze, I have tried to play fortnite and Apex legends and both have the issue i would appreciate any help. So far i have tried updating the mobo bios and reinstalling windows and wiping and reinstalling drivers using DDU to no avail. 13. Wait hold up are you sure the clips are diffrent?
  14. Hello So starting off I bought a ryzen 5 1600 and an Asus Prime B350m-e mobo and I know that the wraith spire cooler is quite decent but I was just thinking considering I live in a desert climate maybe i should get an aftermarket cooler. However I cant get any "officially" AM4 compaltible coolers due to their inavablity and higher price at least where i live . So I wondered wether I could buy any of those am3 coolers that use the push pins ( the clips) to mount on to the mobo and use them on my cpu. They clips look similar to me and i read on a forum that they are the same but that was just one post so I just wanted to make sure if they were the same. Thanks in advance, Modi
  15. So do you think the pc is enirely dead? If so would the ram or cpu still work?
  16. Hello so I actually already made a post about what happened to my pc so im sorry for having to make another one but i remebered something. So basically i have this cheap 4 usb port hub that cane be powered externally. I have had this usb hub for months now but i never had an appropriate power plug to have it powered not up until last month when i came across a spare one. So i immediate plugged the plug in to the socket turned on my pc plugged in my yet unpowered hub and then it happened. As soon as i plugged in the power cable into the hub the pc shut off and wouldnt turn on again so i thought of the cmos and decided to reset it and then it turned on for a few seconds and turned off again so when that didnt work i tried fully replacing it and the same thing happened when even that didnt work i suspected my brand new power supply so i tried another one to no avail. This got me really worried i replaced the thermal paste on my cpu replaced the ram but still nothing works. I am afraid this might have fried something on my motherboard but i needed to make sure and also i font know if this helps or not but after every major change i do to the motherboard like reseating a cable or something or resseting the cmos it would turn on for 2 seconds and then turns off again. Also after turning off permenantly any connected device would still recieve power through the usb ports. PC SPECS: I3-4150 8GB Ram FSP Hydro G 850 W modular power supply Rosewill fbm 01
  17. Thanks stefan but ive already tried that and it didnt work so im afraid it might be the motherboard but i dont know for sure
  18. Hello so basically one day I wake up and try to turn on my pc. It turns on then about 2 seconds later it turns off at this point I assume the power cable might not be plugged in all the way and I go to check ,only to find it fully plugged in . So I start to worry I then go to press the power button again but nothing happens no matter how hard I press it . So I suspected the cmos battery at first but after restarting it the same issue happened again it turns on then off permenantly even replacing the battery didn't fix this . So I remove the CPU cooler and CPU then I reseat the CPU and apply a fresh coat of thermal paste to no avail the pc does the same thing again . I then tried replacing the ram but even that didn't work . Finally I tried replacing the power supply but even that didnt work . Im just wondering whether it might be somethin obvious or if someone has already experienced this before and could help me. Thanks!? 19. Well I have an update . So I tried the R9 290 on a motherboard found near a garbage bin and it actually worked perfectly fine ! Now this means that I have to figure out if there is a way to repair it or if I am going to have to replace it If anyone has an idea on stuff I could try to fix the pcie slot then please tell me Thanks
  20. I have tried multiple drivers going back as far as 15.20
  21. I suspect it might be a motherboard issue since this slot has had an r7 240 sort of dropped on it but im not sure
  22. So I just got an r9 290 direct cu ii oc 4gb and I went ahead and installed it in my pc. It booted up fine but as soon as i install any drivers it just starts to show severe artifacts . Though when i uninstall all the drivers using DDU the artifacts disappear but its recognized as Microst Basic Display Adapter. I have even tried flashing a newer bios even though it already had what seemed to be the latest version and i have tried underclocking the card and increasing or decreasing the power limit. Any help would be appreciated Specs: I3-4150 8 gb ram 1 7200 rpm hdd 1 5400 rpm hdd Gigabyte H81M-S2PV Mobo Asus Direct cu ii r9 290 oc Fsp hydro g 850
