  1. While a good idea bestbuy is pretty far away and we are sort of snowed in. If I can't figure something else out I just might have to try that.
  2. I have a friends Razer Blade Stealth (2016) and it will not power on at all. No fans, no leds, nothing. I popped the back open and the battery is toast, it is expanded about 4 times its size. I took the battery out and plugged it in and still the same issue, in my previous experience the battery did not matter if it was plugged in. Is this still true? This laptop uses a type-c connector for power and the brick seems to be working fine. Does type-c power delivery require the battery? I don't want to recommend buying a new battery if that is not going to solve the issue, they seem to be pretty pricey. EDIT: Took a multi-meter to the battery and it still reads 12 volts! Thoroughly confused, but the question still stands.
  3. Otherwise they run at 1600 I'm guessing? Do you happen to have a link to a good tutorial on how to open that profile in the BIOS on hand by any chance? If not, it's all good! Really appreciate the help
  4. I actually have 4 sticks of 4gb ram right now, and am planning to buy 4 sticks of 8gb, so it should run at 2133, correct? There are only 4 dimm slots on this motherboard.
  5. I've hit the limit just with browsing and gaming at the same time, for the past few nights it's just been closing down my chrome and music player because "I've ran out of ram" . Also, I'm not 100% clear, was that guy saying I could in fact use this 2133 RAM with my motherboard?
  6. Lots of video editing, lots of internet browsing (and apparently chrome uses a bunch of ram now...), and some gaming. Most of the time I'm the server host as well.
  7. Far less, probably under 250. Would you recommend?
  8. So this would work in my PC? Also, I do a lot of after effects and such, if that's what you mean by content creation. And I'm looking at getting it from a friend, so I'm not paying retail price, but he only has 2133, so I was wondering if I should offer or not.
  9. I've got an ASRock z68 motherboard with 16gb of GSkill Ripjaws @1600 and I would like to upgrade to 32gb, I found some ram that peaked my interest(Corsair Dominator Platinum), but I also saw that I could get a 2133 version. From the spec page of my motherboard it says it can support 32gb of ram, at 2133(OC) I've read that it means You can run 2133, but only if its overclocked ram because there is no native 2133 ram. Well, now there is, and I've got a Intel i7 3770k in my PC and was wondering if it would work because these specs were most likely based off a sandy bridge CPU when 2133 wasn't a thing and now there is?
  10. A while back a friend came to me with an SSD and a copy of windows 7, not thinking of the USB tool I just unplugged one of my hard drives (could have sworn it was my boot drive but apparently not) and plugged his in, formatted it, and installed Windows for him with his copy of Windows 7. So here is the problem, When I boot up my computer it still gives me the option to boot of that drive, and it goes to that one by default so if I don't pay attention it boots to that one, realizes the drive isn't there and gives me the error code for no hard drive. It's not a huge problem, doesn't slow down my boot time much, but its still rather annoying. Any help is appreciated, system specs below. Windows 7 Pro 64 bit ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 (BIOS P2.10) Intel i7 3770k 4x4GB GSkill Ripjaws X (1600MHz) ASUS GTX 780 (stock) Samsung 840 Pro SSD (256GB) boot drive Seagate Barricuda 2TB storage drive WD Caviar Green 1TB storage drive EVGA Supernova 1300w PSU
  11. Also, the fans came with this 4pin to 4pin molex, and the fan controller hookups for them, but it only uses 2 wires, as the pictures show, so would it still be bad? I mean, my H100 changes the speed of them?
  12. @airdeano Thank you for the welcoming! What fans would you suggest? The radiator came with 3 XSPC fans marked "1650" I'm assuming that RPM.
  13. This is the fan controller, it had 5 channels, I am currently using 3 of them. But with this slitter you linked me, can I control the speed?
