Everything imported with a value under 200$ is tax-free, shipping from the US via a forwarding company i've used many times before is 9$/kg. Maybe not $20, but something around that, 25$ max. Kind of concerned about everybody saying the zalman is very very loud, maybe a 600w be quiet! SYSTEM POWER 9 will be a better option?
System power 9 is a very old multi-rail design. Questionable if you want a power hungry GPU.
Newegg has this deal for 58USD right now, idk if you can buy from Newegg with your company.
If you're from Romania can't you buy from Amazon.de? https://www.amazon.de/dp/B017NW4P1M?tag=pcp05-21&linkCode=ogi&th=1&psc=1
ah nvm you're from Moldova. Didn't know people speak Romanian in Moldova.

Zalman one sounds pretty good. 5 year warranty and not actually a no name company.
I doubt you can ship+pay import taxes for just 20 usd.
-
Return it or demand a replacement. Clearly something wrong with either the motherboard power delivery or the PSU.

Use Intel XTU.
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/17881/intel-extreme-tuning-utility-intel-xtu.html
But what do you mean roasts the CPU, if it can reach 160W and stay there that's good..? More speed?
-
66C is perfectly fine. 5600 has a Tjmax of 90C.

Nvidia recommends 750W for 4080. Is that good enough for you?
I say if you run Ryzen 56-5800x/76-7700x then 650W is more than enough. Any more power hungry CPU then 750W is safer. 13900K? Then probably 850W.

True but he asked about 1080p in the title
Yes, but then later expanded that his next upgrade will be 4K. So it makes a lot of sense to get a 4090 if he can afford it. 5700G is not that slow of a CPU. At 4K it's perfectly good enough to get high FPS.

Why the hell would u use a next gen card and a zen 3 cpu that is gonna do so much bottlenecking get a better rdna 2 card
Do you not read the posts you respond to? He plans to get a 4K display. At 4K 4090+5700g will be faster than any other combination involving slower GPUs. And not a little bit faster. A LOT faster. Bottlenecking is irrelevant here. Something will always be the limiting factor.

Huge. A huge bottleneck. Even on 1440p.
What you should do instead of the 4090 is a 1440p high refresh (240Hz) monitor and a high end card like the RTX 3080 or a Radeon 6800/6800XT.
It doesn't matter that it's a huge bottleneck. If he plans to go to 4K it will become less important and in 1080p it will still be faster than 3080 or 6800xt...
-
Ofc it will be bottleneck, but there is nothing you can do about it if you want a 4090.
Techpowerup did a test with a 5800x vs 12900k
https://www.techpowerup.com/review/rtx-4090-53-games-ryzen-7-5800x-vs-core-i9-12900k/2.html
it's not like a bottleneck will stop the computer from working...

Thanks for all the responses. It was more about the configuration on the monitor settings rather than connecting the peripherals but I appreciate your answers. And yes, it's at 165Hz and using the display port it came with. Also have FreeSync enabled.
For the monitor settings you mostly want to look at the reviews and what they recommend, there is no general best configuration, each monitor is different.

Are you sure? Just want to check.

Okay, EVGA chose to use the 16 pin. Then 12VHPWR will work.

Going from a Razer to a laptop that costs 1500 usd will always feel like a downgrade. So what does "decent" mean?
You can get a last gen AMD advantage laptop for 1500 https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-Advantage-6800M-Keyboard-Win-Home,/dp/B09TKH7JTV/ref=sr_1_5?crid=3Q4BCELTZVCXU&keywords=6800m&qid=1667145354&qu=eyJxc2MiOiI1LjAxIiwicXNhIjoiMy40NiIsInFzcCI6IjIuMDAifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=6800%2Caps%2C173&sr=8-5 that would kick ass in most games, considering the GPU matches 3070ti-3080
And Ryzen 5980HX is still more than fast enough.

Try different drivers, try running GPU memory tests.

Yes, it will be fine. RMx is a good unit and your CPU is very low power. My cousin has 5800x+6900xt on a 650W superflower psu.
-
Plug it in with DisplayPort and set to 165hz. That's about it.

I might be biased, but tp-link has never let me down. Deco X75 looks nice, affordable too.

I was given the case with power supply from my oncle. It's indeed old. I only found 1 cable with it.
I got the RTX 3080ti from someone and was given his power supply cable, which didn't fit mine.
If I use this current cable, what will happen? Should I get new Power Supply in case?
The card will work, however pulling over 8 amps through 18 awg cable is not advisable. The cable/connectors will heat up during longer game sessions.

well, according to some bottleneck calculators my 6600k and 1050 ti are a balanced pair so i have a slightly faster cpu and he has much better gpu so i think it should still hold up well at 1080p remember it's the flagship card of it's time
That i5 was pretty much as fast as you could get when 980Ti launched. So do you think the GPU gained speed or CPU slowed down since then? The combination worked as well back then as it does now, just the games got more demanding, replacing one part of the equation isn't going to help much. It might help a few percentage points in some games.

Ohh that's specifically for Seasonic products.
I'm not sure which brand the PCIe cable is, but it's written 18AWG. Do I really need a 16 AWG? If so, I guess i'll have to buy a new Power Supply since I can't seem to find a new cable.
Your unit is pretty old so it doesn't have proper 300W daisy chained cables.
Did you buy it as a prebuilt or did you lose the cables? Since it should have had 2 cables in the box originally.

are you serious? quadcores without hyperthreading are obsolete for gaming nowdays.
So is a 980Ti?
6 hours ago, Emesaye said:Well, apparently this old gen. i5 is bottlenecking it now, thats why I asked.
Got the ddr4 3200 , 16 gb waiting for new mobo. Got it as a gift.
Well if you have DDR4 then you pretty much have to go for Adler Lake, because 5800x3d is over your entire budget of 300.

How do I update the BIOS?
Also, I'll be waiting for a 13400F, I'm not putting a K in that motherboard.
Look in your motherboards manual? Usually most vendors have an updater software.
13400F will be rebranded Adler Lake so why are you waiting?
RTX 30-series or RTX 40-series? (Price and safety wise)

If you want value then buy a used 3080 or 6800XT, those cards are unbeatable in terms of value. Or wait 3-6 months for next-gen mid-range card to release.
