RX480 is the same price as a 970 now, that's dissapointing.

I said in a thread that the RX 480 was shit because it performs like a 970/390 at the same price and that one dude was like 'it's not shit because it' s that price in your country'.
Price pretty much defines if it's shit or not. So if it's expensive here than it's also shit here. End of story. I'm not sold on that card in any way right now.

8GB RX 480 and GTX 970 are roughly the same price where I live too, so you're paying for more VRAM that at this point doesn't help out a whole lot. It's a real shame

Oh, I thought since you said $, you were from a country that uses that.. Anyways, prices in the EU are weird. In the Netherlands and Germany the price are about 270-280 euros for either card (or 220-230 for a 4GB RX 480), but in a lot of other places the prices are (much) different. For example in India the GTX 970 is cheaper because AMD prices are insane there and in many other places it's the other way around
