Pretty much ignore any and all YouTube reviewers when it comes to headphones... No matter what people try and tell you, Z or TekSyndicate are NOT good sources for information regarding headphones. The only one I would remotely trust that does YouTube videos would have to be Tyll.

While I will agree the PC37X is a good way to go, the drivers in the HD558 and 598 are exactly the same, in such the G4ME One/Zero and the PC37X use the exact same drivers. With the PC37X you are paying for a MassDrop "special" unit, something of which is usually made a little cheaper just for MassDrop, for better or worse.

    Easily,
    https://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_46586_NVX-Audio-XPT100.html

Far more comfortable, by a HUGE margin (these are Brainwavz HM5 clones after all), the M40X will sound boxed in for comparison which is typical to Audio Technica's M-line with the XPT offering better soundstage, especially if you planned to play games with it.

Do you need the external card for any particular reason? Like going to internet cafes or something that would require the use of another machine other than your own. Also, what motherboard do you have? I'd be willing to bet your onboard may be a better choice over the USB.

Looking at the stock history on NowInStock it seems the RX480 has a stock sell out time the same as the GTX 1080 with about 10minutes of availability. I'd highly recommend doing what I did to get my 1080 FTW, set up text alerts on NowInStock, from there you'd have a few minutes to put in an order through your phone or computer, for me I just used my phone to order through NewEgg. The link that NowInStock will text you directs you to the website link with the product.

Otherwise if you can find one local that's always good.

sobe got a reaction from Zaii in Asus PG279Q - Current state of QC?
When I ventured into these panels first starting with the Acer XB270HU original release, the bright side being stateside is that Acer will directly exchange panels at their Texas based facility and next day a new panel out, or at least that's what they were doing anyway. I'd be reluctant to attempt that with ASUS due to their customer service...

I've been pretty lucky with the 3x XB270HU panels, a PG279Q, as well as a XB271HU as far as getting decent panels, of which I am very very glad. I did come across one bad XB270HU in which I sent direct to Acer and a day later got a new panel that was perfect, so kudos to them for that. But, you being UK based, it would be territory I'm unfamiliar with, though if Overclockers allowed direct returns simply due to BLB, I'd probably stick to them.

Whether you went ASUS or Acer, panel lottery can be a bitch. While going Acer would lend you having a higher % of getting a good panel, you may still end up with a bad one. Just go for whichever you are after and just make sure about the return policy regarding the panels. I would talk to an Amazon rep about returning the monitor due to bad BLB before buying just to verify they will indeed exchange it out for that reason. I've heard good things about Overclockers, but as I am not UK based, I am not directly familiar with them for returns, though I have used them for a BenQ panel that wasn't released stateside at the time.

No matter which you end up going with, best of luck on getting a good one, as these are beautiful screens.

HyperX Cloud is really the only headset choice worthwhile for under $100. The HyperX Cloud Revolver that was released I simply do not have experience with so cannot comment much on it, but from those I know who have owned the HyperX Cloud or Cloud 2 and then purchased the Revolver, they liked their Cloud/Cloud 2 better in both terms of comfort and audio quality, on top of which $120 is a steep price to ask for getting more into Razer territory of pricing.

No problem, you aren't the only one looking for cards in stock I assure you. Longest I've seen an AIB 1080 last "in stock" has been 10minutes. Im hoping sometime in July they push out more cards, as I am looking at the EVGA FTW as well.

Yea still no... I'd sooner a $40 Logitech to play games with over anything from the AT M lineup (with the exception of the MSR7 if you consider that part of the M series). You might need to expand your horizons with various headphones to gauge worthwhile aspects. The HyperX Cloud will be a far better choice over the M50X, hands down, and if you think Takstar Pro80 sounds horrible, I dunno what to tell you aside from stop spreading stupidity.

sobe got a reaction from Dackzy in Logitech G933s or HyperX Cloud 2s?
Can't really compare the 2 simply as audio quality. And even then, I wouldn't recommend the Cloud 2, but instead I would recommend the Cloud or Cloud Core. The largest point of failure in the Cloud lineup is the Cloud 2's usb dongle. Be smart and save yourself $30 and get the standard Cloud or the Cloud Core, the price premium for that crap quality dongle is outrageous and we have seen over and over the users coming here to compain because they bought the Cloud 2 and the dongle died on them.

Now, concerning audio quality between the 2, that goes easily in favor of the Cloud lineup. The 933 is farther ahead of the 930 in audio quality, but still not worth the premium asked.

HOWEVER, if you are looking at the 933 because it is wireless, that is another story indeed and all things considered if I was looking at a wireless headset, the 933 would either be high on my list, or #1 on the list if the V-Moda Crossfade Wireless with Boompro mic was not an option.

sobe got a reaction from rsorujlall in Will the Kraken X61 fit inside Corsair Obsidian Series 350D
The Obsidian series is actually meant for real water cooling setups, not all in ones, so there is plenty of room (I don't personally associate AIO with water cooling but field them separately, that has stayed true as I had several custom loops even with my move to the Kraken X61 as I downsized my main rig). As for the top, if you do use a 280mm rad, just keep in mind you will lose that top 5.25" bay.

Oh, and yes, from my research the X61 was the best performing AIO unit over the Corsairs, CoolerMasters, and so on. I've only needed fans replaced in NZXT cases and also fans for the X61(eventually swapped the X61 stock fans for EK Vardar F3-140ER), the service has been pretty decent and they have been very providing when things arose regarding their products. I will admit though, if customer service is big for you, Corsair's customer service is one of the best in the industry, I'd say they would be up there with EVGA.

sobe got a reaction from SuicideAnomaly in Headphone burn in
The biggest issue with people spouting burn-in, is as Dackzy mentioned, he listened before burn-in, midway through, and then after. If you set a burn in time of 4days, listen to 30minutes on day 1, then listen again at the end of Day 2, then listen again 2 days later... How is that proving burn-in has any effect other than placebo? Your mind wants something to sound better because you are doing it, for critical listening it needs to be a direct side-by-side comparison. In Dackzy's case it needs to be 3 separate pairs of headphones burned in at various times and listening to side-by-side, not listened to days apart.

I want to believe it CAN do something, but for the most part I am not of the belief it does anything other than what is in our mind and thus causing a placebo effect.

sobe got a reaction from SSL in $100 Headset / Giveaway
The biggest issue I have with the Cloud 2, is that after people ask for recommendations, they go with the pricier Cloud 2 and then post later saying they are having audio problems.... More than half the time the issue with those "problems" was the dongle. A dongle that you do not NEED unless you have broken audio ports.

Don't listen to the person above, jesus.... The Cloud, Cloud Core, and Cloud 2 are the same headphone/headset... Literally... the same... You are paying $30 extra for the Cloud 2 for the USB dongle it comes with. I tell people to avoid the Cloud 2, it is NOT better.

The Cloud Core is $70 from GameStop and the Cloud (just Cloud, not Cloud Pro) is $5 more via Amazon. Cloud Core is cheaper due to lack of accessories, but either the Cloud or Cloud Core will serve you just fine and you will get everything the Cloud 2 has to offer, just no USB, which is something I tell people to avoid anyway.
