  1. I got all my ballpark numbers from notebookcheck, which usually does a pretty good job with numbers; http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-1060-Laptop-Benchmarks-and-Specs.169547.0.html
  2. The RX470 seems to be at 120W and the 970M is about 100W; the GTX1060(Laptop) is suppose be lower TDP than a 970M. This means that it's an extra 20+ Watts of heat. Might not sound like much but in a laptop I think it would be.
  3. I am sure everyone is aware of the horrible problems that have come to laptops with the new pascal line up, however considering the gtx 1060 (Laptop) should have a lower TDP than the 970M, how will this impact the laptop market? My speculation is that "Thin Laptops" at 14" might have a chance again. Certainly the 1060 will not result in a Razer branded stove top. (Although if the power ever goes out a portable grill might be handy) Another interesting thing to look at would be the heat compared to the 970M, just because Nvida tells me it will be a lower TDP doesn't mean i will believe them. Would love to hear all your thoughts.
  4. Don_svetio recommended this, which I also second; which i would argue given your bugget it would be your best option. Here is a very similar option from Asus witch "claims" a 512GB SSD http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834234175
  5. Do first off , HEY LINUS. Now that i got that out of the way. Many people have not mentioned the laser auto focus , i think this is the greats thing added to the G3. Coming from a Samsung galaxy S2 the focus time is incomprehensibly fast. On top of that 3000Mah Batty that is replace about could keep me going a full day of use at school , between taking notes and homework task on my S2 it burns faster then you think. As for the screen , most people will not be able to tell the difference and i am betting i cant either , but at least they are pushing technology forward.
