It will be the set of speaker terminals that are labeled 'assignable' that will most likely become the height speakers. When you're in your settings, set it to the Atmos/height configuration for the speakers. Then turn on test tone, and cycle through the new speaker locations to confirm which terminals are your heights. You'll need speakers connected to them to hear the tone, but just adding that in case you don't already have speakers hooked up to them.

its a 7.1 unit and it does say it does atmos so you "should" be able to do a 5.1.2 set up

Are you using USB or optical input into the D1? I've had some weird behaviour in the past on my old D1 in W10 using USB but it always worked fine via optical. I suspect this is a W11 driver issue.

after looking at the specs it's what i'd call base specs, usually when people look for a monitor these days it's either color work or high refresh, and if google's correct this monitor just came out in june 2021, with a majority of 4k panels before 2021 being 27inch for some reason (it's a mystery), the only alternative that i was able to find was the LG 32BN67U-B, it has a wider color gamut so depending on pricing in ur area, it's ur call.

Edit i did some further digging, seems 32inch ips is very limited, i did find a buncha VA offerings, so i'm assuming it's a cost issue, the 2017 version of the LG ips monitor is the 32UD99, review can be found here, not seeing too much diff in specs except adding hdr10

Well if you don't have specific requirements this monitor should be good, but that also depends on price in your area. Generally I had and am having great experience with IPS panels that Asus uses. They are extremely responsive and have quite great colors for IPS.

Important question is for what will that monitor be used.

If you set the monitor to monochrome do you still see the rgb subpixels? Might help to narrow it down to a monitor issue or a windows antialiasing issue

If text clarity is your concern, I definitely wouldn't exceed 27” at 1440p. Anything bigger like 32" needs to be 4K or you'll still have issues.

What aspect of your current monitors make the text not legible. Do they have non square subpixels or is the text you are reading not scaleable?

Any special requirements? USB hub, pivot, height adjustable, small borders for having multiple screens next to each other, curved?
I would go with a VA panel, they're usually cheaper and the higher contrast ratio compared to IPS makes text a little easier to read, plus no IPS glow if you like inverted colors for coding (black background, white text). But any IPS should also be fine and they're usually a little easier to find.

The standard brands for productivity Monitors are Dell, HP, Lenovo, Philips, and to some extend Samsung and LG. I'm really liking my Philips ultrawide, but really any of these should suit you just fine.

I think this is a bug, If I understand the site layout correctly if you click on the video it brings up the plan page, and as you can see there are no plans listed under the "included in plans" section. So the video is impossible to watch for anyone because it isn't included in any plans.

Same. I noticed in the pop up it does not list advanced access in the OG plan. I really hope this is a bug and they didn’t just remove that for long time supporters.

Don't bother with PCIe 4, at least another 3 years.
Swapping to 3700x won't be a big jump, yeah your board can run it with a bios update.

I'm looking into replacing my old Samsung ultrabook with either the Huawei or an XPS13.  Still on the fence, but that's not a bad thing because we're still waiting for the new model to appear in stores here.

LG Gram is a good bet, except the fact that it's pretty flexible, so the keyboard can feel a bit mushy especially if not on a table. The Surface Pro 6 is probably not a good choice since it's only 12," not 15". I'd look at a Surface Laptop (amazing keyboard) or XPS 13, as well as the LG Gram in its various sizes. ThinkPads are also a great bet but I've never used an X1 Carbon so not sure.

This a 25 mm spacer, so you may need to get some washers or something to adjust it further, but this is the idea. https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-uni-rad-holder-120

I just recently did my very first hard line loop, I bought PrimoChill's PETG. One box of 6 30 inch runs, i had never bent tubing before and i still have one completely unused tube. They are cheap and if you take your time you will be surprised at how easy PETG is to work with.

Just Buy what you want to use and get a little extra. you're not going to save hardly any money relative to the cost of the rest of the loop. And odds are you will not be happy with some of the bends no matter what and end up redoing them a few times after a couple months before you get it right. I've redone my loop 3-4 times and changed cases twice just to keep tinkering and improving.
