So....I wanted to put an SSD in this thing but just could not get the VIA KM400A / VIA VT8237 chipset to recognize the SSD in BIOS due to the 1.5 mb/s limitation. So I went down and got a PCI SATA controller board with its own chipset that supports SATA II. After setting the raid to concatenation...and loading drivers at the Windows 7 setup screen...it worked like magic. I did notice an improvement in speed...but the PCI slots on this MB are limited to 33mhz.
The other issue is the 4600ti is not a DirectX 9 compatible card and has some major issues with OpenGl. And to get it to run on Windows 7 I had to install Nvidia XP drivers in XP compatibility mode....it works...but it doesn't play well with Windows 7. I tried 10 different driver versions.
So I am going to put XP back on and call it good.
