  1. Thinking about picking up a Blu-Ray drive considering I'm going to be purchasing some anime Blu-Ray discs, and want to have it on my PC. What software will I need to use the drive and will I need software to actually play the media from the discs or will that work through Microsoft movies and TV with my personal videos?
  2. Well that's kind of what I'm asking at this point. I'm saying even if I buy it rightttt now... will I still get the remastered version for free? Didn't know if there was a cut off date already for the free upgrade.
  3. I saw a while back that anyone who already owns Skyrim will be getting the remastered version for free. Now does that matter if I pick it up sometime soon (before the remastered release obviously) or would I have had to buy it before "X/X/XX" to qualify for the free copy of the remastered version?
  4. Using a Blu-Ray drive mounted in your PC or through external means?
  5. Benefits on push being lower temps and you get to see the fans inside your case
  6. I wasn't trying to either, I just don't like how this system works
  7. I was a console player coming to PC. Always had physical copies of games and never digital.
  8. I know I could've activated on any PC but I was running Linux Ubuntu at the time on my Mac, not even sure if uPlay works with Linux let alone know the expiration date was in just over 30 days. and I agree Gravemind.
  9. My experience with buying my GPU can be summed up with this here meme. I'm still mad about it to this day. I installed uPlay, inserted the code annnnnd it's expired. Was really wanting to finally play an Assassin's Creed game too.
  10. Does a video in 1080 look better on a 1080 monitor or 1440p monitor? Don't know how the videos scale..I know a lot of people say 4k looks better on my 1080 monitor which is because of something like bit rate if I remember correctly but how does that fair when the resolution of the monitor is higher but the video res is the same?
  11. Yeah, I figured it would be. Was trying to find out if anyone got one last black Friday so I could at least get an idea.
  12. I was looking for monitors last black Friday and did end up picking one up the only thing is it's only a 25 inch ultrawide which makes the 16:9 space used for videos not that large. Looking into possibly picking up another monitor when this year's black Friday rolls around. Last year I was only concerned that it was a 21:9, I wasn't browsing through the 1440p monitors. So I was curious how low the prices on some of them like the LG ones got. I'm not really up for spending $700+ dollars on a monitor when it's functionality isn't used for for gaming like most people on here. I want to get either a 29 or hopefully (if the price is right) 34 inch ultrawide. Which the 29 and 34 inch though my only concern is if 2560x1080 still looks crystal clear on monitors that size because of the low resolution, so even if I can get a clearer/crisper picture I'd rather have a 1440p. Note: I know I only have a 970 and don't plan on doing any gaming over 1080. Will my 970 be able to handle 1 34inch 1440p and 1 25inch 2560x1080 at the same time (Not for gaming, just browsing) TLDR people: What is the black Friday price for 1440p monitors? Is 2560x1080 a bad choice for 29inch and 34 inch ultrawides? Can my 970 handle 2 21:9 monitors 1 being 1440p and one being 2560x1080 (not for gaming, browsing, if I did game it would be something not that graphically demanding ex: Mw2, Cod4)
  13. I have a custom desk built and because of the lip on both and back and front of the desk the clamp for the mic boom arm isn't long enough to hold it like my monitor mount clip is. I need some kind of hack that will allow me to hang my mic boom arm from somewhere. Pictures of the compatibility issues: http://imgur.com/a/Fkw25 I did have a stand for my mic on my desk but the stand takes up too much space. I thought I'd be able to save room with the boom arm but I guess not atm.
  14. meaning where the real differences in temps normally occur is under load correct?
  15. Just as it sounds it is normal to have the same idle/browsing temps with the stock cooler for my CPU when compared to my idle/browsing temps with my h100i GTX? Both at around 31-33 Celsius
  16. I just wonder if its any different from the industrial grade stuff I'm using at the moment. My dad has all kinds of stuff like this for work and he gave my a roll of this double sided stuff so I'm not sure what grade it is or anything but I'll check out the 4010, thanks
  17. This is a picture of the back of my desk. In several areas of LED strip the 3m tape wasn't the strongest so I had to apply double sided tape. I used the double sided tape to also attach the small battery cell where the strip connects to the power plug to the lip of the back of my desk so it wouldn't drag the strip off however because of the heat in it the tape just keeps falling off and trying to rip my LED strip off. Any clip holder products that would help me keep that battery attached on my desk? Also note: I'm not looking for some ghetto "duct tape it" kind of answer as I'm willing to pay for products that will fix this and look clean.
  18. Just curious if something like a headphone amp makes a noticeable difference in audio quality compared to a 3mm cable into the motherboard. I have the ATH m50x's and am using the 3mm cable in the mobo at the moment but I wasn't sure if switching to something like a headphone amp and the studio cables for it would make a noticeable difference in audio quality.
  19. I have a long straight desk. I have my monitor attached to the back with a desk mounted arm. I have POP figures aligned under my monitor along the back of my desk and I need ideas on how to route my headphone cable under/around my desk. Right now I just have it wrapped around a mic stand at the other end of my desk so it goes around the pops but I'd like a more legit job of it done. I thought about purchasing the adhesive cable holders then routing in under my desk from where it plugs into my PC I'm just concerned that the holders won't grip it tight enough so it won't go slack underneath my desk where my legs are. Anyone have any nice cable management ideas for headphone cables?
  20. I'm currently using a push config with my H100i GTX and have 2 NF-F12 attached to it. However when I noticed the dust accumulation and how tasking it is to clean it (although I like seeing the fans) I want to switch to a pull I believe. So to start, would I just use the long screws that are currently holding the fans against the radiator to hold up the fans/rad from the top of case where the rad in currently screwed into or do the fans actually only get mounted to the case itself on top, then the rad mounted to them from the bottom?
  21. Just wondering if it's safe enough to use my stock cooler I got with my CPU while my H100i GTX is being RMA'd. I don't plan on gaming, just browsing and watching videos.
  22. Just wondering if it's possible to turn that notification off seeing as how it's repetitive everytime you go full screen with a video.
  23. Just got my RMA approved through Corsair but I wanted to know how long this would take because sending in my watercooler basically means I can't use my PC until I receive the replacement. It says to include all fans, pumps, and radiators does that mean I can leave the mounting bracket on the back of my motherboard? It would be a real hassle if I had to return all those mounting kits too. If anyone has had experience with Corsair and their RMA's... How long have they taken?
  24. It's just a tiny LED just above the pcie cable that stays on as long as the card is recieving power even when the PC is shut down. Want to know if anyone had a fix in software that turns this off so I can route my cable a different way without having it shining out of the case.
  25. So all I'd need to do is switch the plugs and they should be fine ?
