I just split my hard drives to dual boot windows or ubuntu. I want to store everything likes games and storage on my hard drive instead of my ssd. not really sure how to accomplish this. I've used ubuntu before but that was just off a bootable USB.

I just installed using the creation tool instead of resetting. Will update when I get/if it crashes when I open a game.

a windows re-install didn't work and neither did this delete method.

Currently I'm backing up my files because I looked at the event logs and saw a bunch about remote user impersonation level impersonator along with all these errors about mtalk.google.com could not resolve dns or something of the like probably because I disconnected my PC from the internet when I saw the prompts about remote access

Getting error 10016 whenever I start up a game and it shuts down my monitor. If i re-install windows will that fix that problem?

I tried to install my new 8gb of RAM stick the other day and for some reason through multiple tests I figured out that my new stick is a DOA and my old stick works fine. Tried multiple slots, different arrangements, everything, that's the only thing different I've done with my computer lately. Fast forward to today, just running my old stick of RAM like I have been for years and I startup overwatch and crash mid game... PC and sound are still coming through fine but the video signal to the monitor was shut down with the windows error sound accompanying it. Checked device manager and all my drives/gpu seem to be working right. Ran malwarebytes just in case but sure enough the scan came back with no threats found. Disconnected my GPU and re connected it and sure enough the same thing is happening and it's random as all hell. All PC components are in my signature. Used CAM to monitor temps and usage percentages and nothing out of the ordinary is going on there. Tried recording with OBS and capturing to at least see the error but the file is corrupt after the computer resets. Reinstall Windows? updated GPU drivers and still crashing..

Oh, yeah. I've tried spaced by 1 or 2 and not spaced. My old stick of RAM works fine alone in every slot, so they aren't the problem. My new stick won't work in any configuration, meaning alone or with the old slot plugged in too. Would it be correct at this point to assume the stick of ram is bad?

I don't get what you mean? I have a single stick currently in and whenever the new stick it added it black screens.

Just checked all the specs. speed voltage latency and capacity are all the same. just updated bios and that didn't fix it. the new stick won't work as a stand alone either like my current stick. it will just black screen and get stuck in a boot loop on the motherboard.

Yep hyper x ddr3 1866 8gb.

z97 Gaming 5 motherboard with currently 1 stick of hyperX 1866 8gb ram running. Bought a new stick another 1866 8gb and put it in all the DIMM slots, including swapping it for the one I already have in there and anytime I plug in the new stick my PC black screens and won't post at all. Dead RAM stick?

looking for a good CRPG with turn based combat, leveling system that's easy to grasp onto and same with equipment. Just want something that will make me grind I guess I'm saying. I've playing BDO and loved it but the p2w got too strong. Is divinity o.s.2 any good for something like this? Maybe cliff hanger? will appreciate any feedback.

I just installed it today since it went f2p so I'm not sure if it's been common. I looked up other people having the issue and their problems seem to be related to settings issues.

I have a 970 with a 4790k and 8gb of ram and am only getting between 30-50fps on CSGO. I get 100+ on overwatch just fine but CSGO is running terribly, Let's start the checklist. -yes my monitor is plugged into my GPU -yes my GPU is updated -vertical sync is turned off. -anti aliasing is off -motion blur disabled

Fixed. Switched my monitor back to custom mode instead of cinema mode and it stopped all together. Googled it after and others seemed to have the same problem with the cinema mode option on LG monitors.

Nah, I've never had it on before and when i turned it on it still keeps glitching in game

it's not tearing in that the game is tearing it more of black or white rectangle glitches on screen.

recently I started noticing white and/or white/black screen tearing every now and then. (rectangle flashes of tearing) It does it in overwatch and sometimes when doing normal tasks on PC. I ran a test by recording my screen with obs playing the chrome dinosaur game until it teared then watching the recording to see if it was because of hardware or software and the tear didn't show up in the recording so it has to be hardware at fault. I plugged in another monitor (old insignia 1080p tv) and nothing seem to tear there during my dinosaur game of tests. Could it be the monitor's failing ?

Just as title says the monitor is on sale through newegg, normally $400 and still $289 on amazon but its $239 @ newegg for the shellshocker deal. Just looking for an extra monitor mainly to watch anime a dual tasks n stuff. Didn't know if I needed a 32" or if 27" is plenty considering with my 25" ultrawide the 1080p content is certainly less than 27 inches. I have a bigger desk so I have extra room. Plus it has the ultra thin bezzles great for viewing just curious on opinions. Should I wait for Black friday for better deals on 4k monitors or swing the $240 for that good deal now.

I understand where you're coming from. Just browsing the android tablet market for a while left me wondering what really does 'compete' with the 2018 ipad specs/price. However most the apps I use to consume media/content are only available through apk's on github or only on the play store.

I'm looking for something with about the same specs (large resolution, large battery, 10 inch screen) that the m5 has only including a headphone jack out of the box for under $400. It has to run android since I need to download apk files. The Samsung S3's are still above $400 and the tab 10.5 2018 model has a low resolution and low end processor for the $329 that it's going to cost.

Normally I would go samsung. But the even the last s2 is the same cost as the newest iPad. An s3 for $500 is out of my price range. From what I can tell samsung hasn't answered apples newest ipad installment with a good tablet aimed for a good budget price.
