  1. i think for the next phone we won't see this magnetic connection. it probably won't be ready enough for a massive implementation. i think it'll look like the oppo r5, which has a small cable converter which converts usb type d to headphone jack (in the iphone case it would lightning to jack).
  2. could we have a link to the RAM you want to use? it's to verify they are ddr4 sticks...
  3. Oh my god i would love to get a new keyboard! i currently use an old (10 years old now) membrane keyboard with half-working buttons and a few keys like the left ctrl button not working...
  4. So, i have a nice steelseries Kana mouse and i have been using it for some time. When i moved to europe, it was shipped with the rest of my stuff, so i didn't use it for a few months. Now that i recovered it, it seems the braided cord is kind of stiff, it doesn't bend easily anymore (in fact it doesn't bend unless i bend it manually, if i just mouve the mouse on my desk, it moves the whole cord instead of bending near the mouse, i don't know if you see what i mean...) and it kinda sucks while gaming for multiple reasons. Does any of you know why and/or how i can fix this?
  5. This looks like good stuff. not only does it look cool but it seems fun to use. I just hope more and more companie start to make those because we want to see analog keyboard direct implementation in games.
  6. You gotta love some marvel! My favorite comic is undisputably uncanny x-men.
  7. well, you know, if you work at a place where you get a comission, just come in and "save their ass" when they choose an hdmi cable. say: "oh, i want to be honest with you, don't say it too loud, but these cables are exaclty the same!" then you establish a trust bond, you make them save hundreds of dollars, and you can make them buy more things which makes you an enormous comission! (ok, that may be evil, but still true :p)
  8. it's not true random, it's actually REALLY not that great. I used it once in a simple programm (blackjack) and the same set of cards is always drawn. for example for a range between 1 and 13, it would almost alwas pick a 6, 7, 8 or 9... i did the math after trying it alone for a lot of time and the results don't match at all the true probabilities of drawing those cards... I reccomend going with something more complex
  9. i guess you want comments? it's a good budget build. but you might find even cheaper on the amd side of things for that budget. (a gtx 750 ti is still a great choice though. it has quite a good rep.)
  10. That's a great choice. I think you might have already seen Linus's video on it. BUT if you already have a pc, consider why you would use it! not for gaming i suppose (since you already have a pc), so what's the point in getting something that is bulky and has a 960m in it? i mean if it's just for watching videos, write text, school notes, or browse social media, you shouldn't go with that! it's bulky and sacrifices build quality in favor of better specs. the trackpad is not that good and the keyboard is not the best. it's also quite thick and heavy (i mean, it's for gaming). You could go with something the same price or lower, but has a better overall feel to it like better trackpad, keyboard and more portability, but you sacrifice the gaming ability. But why would you care, you already have a pc to do that!
  11. yep. this looks quite good. You will be able to run all games 1080@60. One thing: i don't get why you would invest in a fully modular PSU with a build like this. you could save a few pounds and get a semi-modular that has the same quality (maybe not gold rating but silver suffices, and you don't save much on your energy bill by sacrificing this tiny bit of energy efficiency... you could get an evga 650 GQ for example!
  12. Also Asus has a better consumer service
  13. there's just something i was wondering about: what programming knowledge do you need before entering the programm? Does a basic knowledge of python and basic suffice or do you reccomend i learn C or C++ before starting?
  14. Hey OP, i'm having to go, so if you have more questions, i'll be happy to answer to them, just PM me and i'll answer back, with a little delay. it's been fun!
  15. I heard some do. but the ones i use don't, so it proves that there are some out there that are quite good, you just have to read the reviews!
  16. now they can be a little expensive, but i'm sure you can get your parents to buy you a pair
  17. you could try internet plugs. these are things you plug in the electric outlets of your house, one near your router and you plug an ethernet cable into it. then it uses the wiring for electricity to carry the signal to the other plugs you plug in the electrical outlet you want all over your house (i'm using them at my place, works like a charm). You would have one where your pc would be plugged in the wall, and get cabled ethernet from there, and no holes!
  18. first, and this has been SCREAMING at me: you don't need a 45 £ worth keyboard! don't buy a keyboard on a store for gamers, it WILL be overpricec as HELL! just go on amazon and find something basic that suits your needs. I'm sure you can find something around 10 to 15 pounds that will suit you as well as what you currently have on this build. (be sure to look at the reviews though, as cheap keyboards can be hit or miss). just give me more time to look at more mobos
  19. this motherboard has a really basic chipset that's still capable of overclocking BUT it will be weaker then with a higher-tier chipset (i really don't know much about AMD chipsets, so i feel i woulnd't be the best advice on which one to pick). going with a classic Hyper 212 EVO cpu cooler is your best option on a budget. This whole upping would be about 30 to 40 pounds more than currently i think. you have to choose if you want to do it, knowing it could bring you up to 30% more cpu capability...
