  1. Update: I have clean installed windows and downloaded all drivers from fresh, still only get a high pitched squeal whether my speakers are plugged into the back of the IO, or the front of the case audio. Same thing when I try with headphones. Getting desperate here. Any help?
  2. Update: All I get from the IO sound line in is a high pitched squeal, and nothing else. I have tried to reconfigure and reinstall all drivers again, and still nothing
  3. Alright, so I am having a problem with my sound from my computer. I have been away from my computer for the past couple days. The last thing I did was install the latest Windows 10 update, and added an USB expansion card (Rosewill RC 100) to my computer. Tonight when I finally came back on, I was not getting any sound from my computer. I have turned it off and turned it back on, I have also uninstalled and reinstalled my realtek audio driver and still no sound, as well as made sure my onboard audio was enabled in my bios. I have plugged in the cable for the speakers into my onboard MOBO sound as well as my audio jack from the case, and still nothing but a faint ringing. However when I plug the cable into my phone, it will play off of my phone. I have also tried numerous "quick-fixes" for no sound with Windows 10. On that note, here is my system: CPU: Intel i5 4590 Ram: 8gb of corsair vengeance Mobo: MSI z97s Krait SLI Graphics: msi gtx 970 4gd5t PSU: Seasonic G Series 550 watt OS: Windows 10 64 bit Bios Version: E7922IMS V10.4 Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
  4. Looks like from one of the reviews on Newegg, it requires a manual install for drivers, but the reviewer laid out the process. I'm gonna give it a shot. Thank you for the help!
  5. The Rosewill is something I could do. It just goes into the regular PCI slot right? not a PCIe 2.0 or 3.0?
  6. Hey everyone! My friend just gave me a Christmas present early, and it was the NZXT Hue+. As of now on my MOBO I have the Grid+ and my WIFI card hooked up to the two internal USB 2 headers. The MOBO specifications in the manual says that there are "6 USB 2.0 ports (2 on the back panel, 4 ports available through the internal connectors)", and also says "2x USB 2.0 connectors (supports an additional 4 USB 2.0 ports). I can't seem to find any extra headers on the MOBO anywhere, and probably am to assume there aren't any, unless I am just blind? Would this mean I could/would have to use a USB 2.0 header splitter? And if so, any suggestions on what to get? Thanks!
  7. Doh! I didnt think about the distance to the receiver, and the article doesn't mention it. I have a feeling you may be right haha.
  8. This is exactly what I thought when I read it. The click-bait title I saw on facebook about it being "promising" got me. And as I read on I was thoroughly confused. Though it is Wifi speeds not ethernet speeds
  9. You may be kidding....but I am sure they will be an article saying that is true haha.
  10. Looks like the first "real world test of Li-Fi seems to be promising" Opinion: Though I am sure it still has a long way to go, this definitely could be interesting for those who have weird layouts in their house, since it is something that is more visible and be somewhat directed to the area (such as a dead zone in the house) that needs Wi-Fi. IF anything, I think it can compete and possibly offer more reliable connection when compared to Wi-Fi range extenders and maybe even Powerline adapters. That being said, something that the article did not address and is a concern for me is the distance required to get the fast speeds that they are reporting. 11. Also the MSI 970 4gd5t! I have one with my MSI z97s krait edition and it is a wonderful pair
  12. I literally just decided over the weekend that this was gonna be the card I save up for....and this happens....such a good deal...must resist....
  13. I'm running about 35 on idle and about 65-68 while gaming, same when doing a stress test under full load. Streaming I'm hitting about 46. Sounds pretty normal, but I would suggest try re-seating your cooler.
