You NEVER lose ANY vertical space in ANY games.
Horizontal is always the one where you can see more or less depending if you sit on a 21:9 or 4:3 monitor.

The new Acer Predator Z35 is a new ultrawide curved 35inch monitor which features a resolution of 2560x1080 resolution.
The monitor has 178 degree view angle vertical and horizontal, on an AMVA. So no IPS here, but it's not a TN panel, which is something.
The monitor is a 200Hz monitor (144Hz normally, overclcoked to 200Hz).
So if you found 144Hz too mainstream, and non fluid, there is now 200Hz one!
It has 4ms response time (g2g), which interestingly enough Acer shares the ACTUAL response time of the monitor, and that is 12ms. I am surprised by this, because normally manufacture keeps that spec under closed door, as it is not marketable (looks bad), and easier to compare "1ms" monitor with others, and avoid the the "1ms" which are like 16ms or even 20ms.
Oh.. and did I mention is is NVIDIA's G-SYNC? Yea! G-Sync ready.
The monitor can be yours for only $1199.99 U.S

The downside of the monitor is that 35inch at this resolution won't be very sharp. So, it depends on your distance to you, in your computer setup.

any FPS game like BF4.... Might I suggest you look into the negatives about owning an 'unusual' aspect ratio monitor. Some older games dont like it and will glitch out.

That looks like an amazing monitor. Besides the gloss. Damn it Acer stop it. Hopefully one day I can get an ultrawide like that. Maybe if I ever start up an SLI beast build. Haha. For now I will be extremely happy with my XB270HU and 980 Ti amp extreme graphics card.

LinQ reacted to acls86 in Acer X34 wait is killing me man
Well, sorry for my bad english then..
My previous one was the LG 34UM95.
Acer X34 got way less glow, just a little bit in the left corner. Zero dead pixels. Gsync is great, but I have to say its my first gsync display. Refresh rate in games is always between 85 and 97hz (sometimes 100hz, am using a gtx980), for that you need to enable the overclocking in the OSD menu (there is a slider from min. 75hz up to max. 100hz).
Those ambilight LEDs got 5 colors and a Monitor-Status mode aswell as the modes fixed/flashing/ripple/breathing, you can turn them off aswell. You can adjust the LED-Brightness from 1-5.
The menu is a little bit tricky to use, but over time I get used to it more and more..
There is zero operating noise and he stays pretty cool, my LG was way warmer after some gaming.

Yeah I'm going to wait since I've already waited this long, but it seems like dream is dying fast with the X34.
