  1. i might have find out the issue. On windows 11, GTX 1060 6gb, Ryzen 5600, 16GB ram. turns out if the game maxes out the GPU core load, videos on secondary screen would stutter. i might not have this issue while on windows 10, but then again i can't confirm it as I'm already on win11. E.g., Yakuza 0 on 360hz @1080p, youtube on secondary monitor stutters. If i change the game resolution to 720p, video is smooth.
  2. Did not try the rear port yet. Currently using the Corsair VS 550.
  3. So I recently just bought myself a pair of good value Noise cancelling headphones (Edifier WB860NB), and currently im plugging it through the included 3.5mm cable to my PC, and through the headphones im wearing a static noise in the background (if i switched on Noise Cancelling on the headphones). However, when I accidentally placed my hand on the case, the static noise disappeared. I also have a card reader connected to the bottom of my desk, if I make contact with it, the static goes away as well. So, how do I "ground" my PC, or even the disk-reader, not really sure whether anyone had encountered this problem before. Currently using the corsair vs550 if not mistaken. Plugged into a 5 gang extension cord.
  4. Thanks everyone for the replies. Turns out after multiple formats, i think i have managed to get down with stable version of windows 10 while maintaining high fps in dota2. I had to remove my m.2 ssd, and plug in only my new sata ssd, and installed windows on it. Everything seems to be working okay so far. Will update soon enough if there is any hiccups.
  5. Hello everyone, Avid Dota 2 Player here from Malaysia. I'm having this problem of inconsistent FPS in game (Dota 2), whereas the current main drive I'm on is: - Sandisk old m.2 sata ssd (Sandisk x300) - Ryzen 1600 - Asrock AB350M HDV - T-Force 16gb 3000mhz ram - Galax GTX 1060 - Windows 1809 - Nvidia Driver 430.86 Fps average on team fights is around 140-160 on the top right fps counter. And recently I bought a crucial BX500 480gb ssd, and installed a fresh version of Windows 1903, with the latest nvidia drivers. Run dota 2 on it and fps average is around 100-120 fps. Sometimes it even dips to the mid 90's. Reformated it, run it on Nvidia 430.86 drivers and still same. Any suggestions?
  6. Yeah after few days of testing 355.98 seems to be working for my Aspire V15 Nitro with Win 10. Anyone else who has this problem can refer to this https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/3gwf5b/discussing_the_recent_win10_driver_crashes/
  7. Just DDU and install older drivers (used to be 385.50, now on 355.98). So far no errors but still gonna see if there is any. My gpu temps are usual 40-50C at idle and goes up to 80 when playing D2 with almost max settings on dual mon setup. Now I manually control my fan speed using rw everything so that the cooling can be improved. Im just curious about the constant fluctuation like the image instead of the never fluctuate at all when idle temps in win 8. Just a bit curious :3
  8. Did A clean install everything is working fine. Just that I find this unusual behaviour of the grahpic card a bit odd. When i was on Win8.1 and idling, the temps and loads are almost 0 but on win 10, it constantly fluctuates then drops then repeats. The kernel error occurs 3 times or more a day. Wondering if anyone else has this problem. Just DDU and reinstalled new drivers see if I still have this problem or not.
  9. Just installed a clean win 10 pro on my Aspire V15 Nitro (i7 4720hq, gtx 860m with 8gb ddr3 ram) One thing im having problems with win 10 is that the grahpic kernel sometimes crash and recover by itself. (Nvidia Kernel 385.30 has crashed and recovered..... sth like that). Just DDU my drivers and still experiencing this odd thing. Can anyone help? ")
  10. Guess not then Thanks for the swift reply. Have a good day sir
  11. I think the dropbox link was dead so i uploaded again. Anyone can tell me can I fix this by myself without replacing the whole keyboard?
  12. My sis laptop's HDD just died today and i tried disassembling the laptop to see whether or not the HDD was still alive. While re-assembling it halfway, i had the most difficult time putting back the connectors for the backlit keyboard. One large connector for the keyboard input and the other for the backlit light. While putting it back i accidentally snap the led light cable and it broke(i hate my big hands T_T). Waiting to order a new 2.5 HDD and still wondering if I could fix it by maybe replacing the connector myself? or I could only fix it by replacing the whole laptop I'm not quite the heavy tech savvy user but I just know what I should know. Access to parts maybe quite limited as I live in Malaysia. Thanks for all the feedback and have a nice day
  13. 90c. its actually the same whether im on extended monitors or single monitor. My fps on games keep drop due to throttled cpu in which is throttling my gpu usage. After much research, I finally conclude the problem. Its the "BD PROCHOT" that is throttling my cpu speed to 0.75 ghz. In order to fix this issue, just install ThrottleStop from TechPowerUp. Run it then untick "BD PROCHOT" from the checkbox on the left. And voila everything is back to normal. But beware of your temps as the safety feature to prevent the laptop from overheating is now turned off. Don't say I didnt blame you have a nice day And thanks to those who gave me feedback http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-1635001/cpu-stuck-low-speed.html
  14. When there is no throttle my cpu temp is at about 90+ and was fine since I was playing dota that time for a round. But now cpu is at 60 + with throttling. It's not the heat problem. Its something else I think. And I do play in a aircon room
