  1. okay I believe I have selected all my pc components What do you think? http://pcpartpicker.com/p/T3kfTW
  2. any particular reason you are thinking a xeon processor kinda seems overkill?
  3. holy crap!!! I had no idea there was a guy named evan that worked at OCC lol no no I am not that evan I am a different one
  4. lol no I just like the logo I will take out the periods and maybe change it up a bit but I like the logo and its sorta similar to my bike (which is like the one in my avatar)
  5. Ok so here is my plan I am getting the x-carve by inventables and I was thinking that a fun project would be to build a wall mounted pc that would sit above it. So above it a quick sketch that I did of the basic layout of the project I am thinking that 4' x 4' would be a good size so that I can have plenty of room to mount things Here are so of my ideas so far: now all the graphics will be led back lit and removable so that you can change them by simply milling a new design and setting it in place all of the pc components will be set on acrylic and led edge lit 32" led 1080p monitor will be used and flush mounted into the main board front i/o panel w/ fan controller, usb 3.0 ports, audio ports, sd card reader all water cooling will be done with clear water blocks and hard line tubing with a triple 120mm rad I believe the main board will have to be cut using 4 different board and then joined after milling is complete on each board (I can only do 800mm x 800mm at a time on x-carve) Computer specs so far: Gigabyte gtx 960 2gb g1 gaming samsung 850 evo 250gb ssd 2x seagate barracuda 7200 rpm 3tb hdd tp-link wdn-4800 wifi card Now my question to you guys are: What do you think of the idea? Who would you improve on it? What do you dislike? What cpu, mobo, rad, res, psu should i use? I need serious help on making thr front i/o panel I am not sure where to start on this? Now I will be using the computer to run the x-carve and work in the design software so no gaming or nothing like that But I would like the components that I still need to be all matching in looks and kinda match the theme of the project with the led lights (color changing) and main board begin wrapped in carbon fiber vinyl thanks in advance
  6. Yeah I am into cnc milling and my next project is a computer/tv that is wall mounted above the cnc machine but this will use actual desktop components and possibly water cooling all set in a cnc milled oak board gunna be epic
  7. Oh yeah actually once I figure out this setup my plan is to place them around the house and 1 in the garage for working on things in the shop and really i can find a few months old tvs off craiglist for around 100 bucks instead of buying a new one I scored this tv for 100 it was 2 months old and 1080p nothing wrong with it
  8. Hey thanks lol yeah something different I agree this is what happens when I am not satisfied with the 3 roku sticks and 4 chromecast's that I have laying around oh yeah defiantly any suggestion on the component placement to clean it up?
  9. Hello everyone this is my build using the intel compute stick when I first saw the compute stick I new I wanted to give it a try and see what I could do with it. So am looking for all comments suggestions and harsh remarks concerning it Thanks Parts List Intel Compute Stick Windows 10 home 32 bit 3 12" Led strips (blue) satechi 3 port usb 3.0 hub and ethernet Lan Network Adapter 15' 14awg extension cord red paracord 1 12v lighted switch 1 old extension cord end 1 120v ac plug 1 terminal strip 1 12v switchable terminal strip Shrink wrap 32" led 1080p tv ultra slim articulating wall mount 25' cat6e ethernet cord cm store devastator lighted keyboard/mouse combo I use this computer just for my work station sense my main computer is about 10ft away and going back and forth didnt seem reasonable really all i do on this computer is watch youtube videos, light word processing, and internet research. I am not really happy with my cable management on the back of the tv as my original plan was to hack open the tv and put everything on the inside but with the ultra slim tv that I bought there was just no room so I am thinking about re doing everything on the back so i looks a little nicer but as of now everything is functional so thats a plus
