  1. This could just be due to the asian region. I too bought this exact laptop just a week ago from the dell store. (I am from southeast asia) hahaha. but it had the i3-1135g7, 512gb nvme ssd. upgrades, however it still was 4gb ram. this cost around $500 US. They probably really cheaped out on that part of the specs. I have already upgraded the ram to 16gb tho. so it's all good now :3 to the op. yes this laptop is terrible for gaming. but esports games work well on it, so there's that at least. Probably upgrading the ram may stop more intensive games from crashing.
  2. I suppose it's to keep the environment fair. especially in online games such as fortnite. A player using kb+m will have a significant advantage over the controller. If you want to use kb+m then stick to your PC. since soncsoles were designed for controllers in the first place. this just feels like you're just looking for a reason to complain about something on consoles Also. I tried connecting my kb+m to my ps4 to play ac valhalla. and it feels terrible. I guess 30fps doesn't translate well to kb+m since the framerate isn't good enough for the responsiveness of a mouse.
  3. That long black slot is where the videocard will fit. And since you said that this pc is BTX. I can assume that you can fit a dual slot videocard (it will cover the white slot) but it may be a tight fit. depending on the thickness of the cards cooler
  4. At this point, the Xbox One X is a bad choice, unless you get an excellent deal on it Getting a 2nd hand xbox one S is a good option too. since the previous gen xbox are still going to get games for the next 2-3 years. also, xbox one games are getting really cheap, so it's handy to have a disc drive.
  5. My previous keyboard was an Ornata v1, used it for 2 years. it was a great keyboard still felt very tactile, although bottoming out was still a bit mushy, as expected. however, the initial click still felt very satisfying. But sometimes the metal clip, or whatever was doing that tactility would wear out, so i'd have to open it, and rebend the clip outwards abit just to get the tactility back to 100% there should also be other brands that are full mechanical keyboards at the same price point, such as the logitech g512 carbon, or redragon keyboards
  6. any ram from 3200 to 3600 should be fine. personally i use 64gb tridentz 3600, and it's working great on my 5600x
  7. I cant comment on that, since i dont have a 4k tv. hahaha, but so far. on a pc monitor, 1440p looks excellent. and yeapp. even i am surprised by how long the battery is lasting. hopefully, your battery gets just as great luck if not better.
  8. Most likely. you should be fine, as I said, I used my laptop plugged in 95% of the time. and I don't remember the last time I ever let it drain to a low percentage. usually batt stays in 90-100% charge. As for the resolution, since 4k 60hz cant be done on the laptop. maybe you can go for 1440p at 60hz? it is a downgrade from 4k, but at least it is higher than 1080p
  9. idk about Lenovo batteries, but my 2011 MacBook pro 15" still has its original battery from 2011. and I use that laptop plugged in like 95% of the time, even stays plugged in when I'm not using it. I just unplug it whenever I don't plan on using it for awhile. So far it has 76 cycles, and 86% battery health. which is huuge, considering that this is a 10 year old battery at this point. My guess is that your laptop battery should be fine plugged in all the time, so long as it doesn't get hot. batteries hate high temps. I'm not really familiar with the video port outputs. but for me, 1080p is still perfectly usable. Also, since you will be using it to emulate games, I am assuming that it will be ps2 era games and older. anything above 1080p wouldn't seem worth it, since the games were designed to run at lower resolutions.
  10. i got some tridentz, and yes it is running at xmp 3600. I suppose if i were to pay attention to fps i could notice the increase, however i mostly play easy to run games, such as valorant, sea of thieves, sims. so i guess that's why i never really felt a huge gain in fps, since it was already in the 100+fps to begin with
  11. i jumped from 64gb ddr4 2666 to 64gb 3600 and i dont notice anything different
  12. I have the same keyboard. but the G512 version. also blue switches. hahaha . great keyboard
  13. M1 Macbook air just arrived. now my pink mac build is complete Then i made my old 2011 15" Macbook Pro setup a white theme. Forgive the mess. i was working in the dining room
  14. no. you shouldn't have any ram clearance issues. you can just google the wraith prism cooler, and look at images to get a grasp on what it would look like on yours
  15. Had the same predicament as you, I ended up getting the tomahawk wifi. great board, i love it
  16. the g102 is a very good mouse for the price, has decent software(but GHUB could be improved) and it has a nice minimalistic look. however, if you could spend abit more, then the g304 is a really really great mouse, it comes with the better HERO sensor, and its wireless too.
  17. 3500x. while the 3300x has more threads... more physical cores would win.
  18. fair enough, but in the future if ever you have a motherboard with rgb headers. its just nicer to control everything in one single software. rather than having spearate software for your rgb headers,, ram , and graphics card. also, no. the rams dont need to be connected to anything. the leds are powered and controlled directly from the dimm slot
  19. since your motherboard is asrock. the software you should be using is the asrock polychrome sync. find ram that is compatible with polychrome sync. but i assume that crucial ballistix is compatible. also. i wouldnt keep the old ram. you are losing so much by dropping from 3200 to 2133
  20. that depends on the controller. is it the original xbox one controller? or the slim one? i call them the v1,v1.1, and v2 controllers v1 - original xbox one controller without the 3.5mm jack v1.1 - original xbox one controller with the 3.5mm jack v2 - the new xbox one controller that shipped with the xbox one slim and onwards only the v2 controllers can connect directly to bluetooth, while the v1 and v1.1 controllers only work WIRED or with the special dongle for it. i found this picture online, and i think this can be a helpful guide for you
  21. M1 Macbooks are great for college . even the base 999$ macbook air is pretty capable considering its price
  22. it is possible, the ram will just run at 2133
  23. yeap. this is one hot card. i got similar temps when playing cyberpunk, and this was on an aorus 5700xt. i fixed it by setting up a better fan curve. now my gpu peaks at 65-70 when gaming.
  24. not necessarily, gigabyte has a 1650 that does not require external power https://www.gigabyte.com/Graphics-Card/GV-N1650OC-4GD#kf
