  2. HTC One M8 for my Dad. He's still using a Nokia C5 brick running Symbian. I cringe every time he sends a text - it takes like 5 minutes. What's more, he uses his phone every day for work and could be heaps more efficient with a better phone. I've seen Linus' positive reviews on this phone and many others. It doesn't do everything, but it does what it does well. Dad would really benefit from this phone. http://www.amazon.com/HTC-32GB-Unlocked-International-Version/dp/B00K6P95N2/ref=sr_1_4?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1449748241&sr=1-4&keywords=htc+one+m8 Thanks LTT giveaways like this are great.
  3. Ermegherd Queensland bros I live in toowoomba
  4. thanks man. Not going to mark it solved in case of some life-changing philosophical answers that may come, but still thanks
  5. I would go for the msi edition r9 390. Why? Because it looks awesome and performs pretty well. In terms of nvidia, i reckon the evga 970 ftw card is really good (thankyou linustechtips for dat vid)
  6. I'm building this new system, but can't afford a graphics card at the moment. I'm going for a skylake 6600k with 530 integrated graphics and am wondering what an equivalent GPU would be in performance (roughly). Also, I'm yet to choose a graphics card and thinking the r9 390, but should I fork out extra for 1440p games? I'd like framerates just above 60 if possible. Thanks in advance.
  7. as I understand it, that's how most led strips work. it should be ok. Something like this is a good choice I reckon https://www.nzxt.com/product/detail/101-sleeved-led-kit-case-accessory.html Just keep in mind that these ones are really bright
  8. So you're saying it's ok to have a 1mm gap between the cooler and window?
  9. I don't know exactly, but it must be possible to remove the heatsinks to get to the components inside.
  10. Not sure man but perhaps there is an ifixit guide? Motherboard heatsinks should be removable fairly easily
  11. Hey, I'm buying my parts today and choosing the nzxt s340 and cryorig h5 ultimate. The case says the cpu cooler clearance is 161mm and the cooler is 160mm. http://www.cryorig.com/h5-ultimate.php#spec https://www.nzxt.com/product/detail/151-s340-mid-tower-atx-case.html# Will it fit? Will the 1mm gap rek my case window? If the cooler is not advised, could anyone recommend a balln' air cooler that's fairly quiet for about $50usd or $70aud? Thanks in advance.
  12. thanks though I might in the future. maybe....
  13. yes that and newegg if black friday delivers
  14. probs the second one. However the psu on the first one wins (evga g2) also, I've had a couple of issues with samsung evo 850. I know I'm going to get roasted, but I stick to intel mostly or any brand not samsung for ssds
  15. most all pcs beat consoles, this nukes them, leaving the loungeroom in quite a mess.
