  1. That's what I thought, I've got this port on my board but it seems like anything I've seen online would never get clearance with all the other stuff in my case.
  2. Guess I'm just an idiot then, disregard.
  3. What kind of drugs are you on and where can I get some. You'd be better off getting a 1.5k pc and investing the rest. Goddamn.
  4. From what I've seen M.2 is slower than PCIe.

By going all in for CPU and GPU you save a lot more in the long run than going light on them now and upgrading them later. I'd say your ideal upgrade path would be: PSU (60$) Case (100$) Mobo (130$) Memory (60$ for 8GB, or get 2 more of the ones in this build but the MoBo you pick needs to be quad-channel) IN THAT ORDER. other than that you should be golden for the long term.

Get a GPU after you've got another ~200$ would be my first thing Get a 60$ PSU after that (Explosion hazard. Unlikly, but do you really want to take that risk?) Get a better Case or MoBo in any order Get an SSD Get a better CPU In that order, you'll have a pimped out box in <2 years.
  7. Cheap out on literally everything and get an APU for the time being rather than a GPU. Upgrade part by part later on.
  8. 290X is rockin' it for me right now, go ahead. If it ends up being bad, you can always modify resolution within windows.
  9. Personally I'd start with 1 high Mhz 8gb stick and get a new one every paycheck, income change, etc... You really aren't going to need more than 16 in almost any scenario so it won't matter if you spend a little extra for that Mhz boost. Just my 2c
  10. Thanks everyone in the thread for the replies. I meant budget as pretty much anything that isn't "luxury". I really like the panel Potatoe pointed out which is probably what I'll go with. Little carrots also looks pretty amazing so I might get that later on as a secondary panel (watching videos while playing games or something). Thanks guys!
  11. I don't want to go off and buy some shit monitor from an irreputable Korean brand or something. Thanks in advance!
