  2. yeah it's probably the mining craze honestly, its on newegg and superbiiz but its like $1300...how much do you have saved?
  3. "LTT@CES: Top 5 Intel Laptops & Desktops @ CES 2018 (SPONSORED) " It was only supposed to be intel but they probably accidentally threw in a amd one without realizing it. Intel sponsors them, so if they don't want amd laptops in the video, they won't put them in.
  4. audio isn't a problem, its mainly just for 1080p video. My computer is hooked up to my custom surround sound system.
  5. Hi guys, so I'm ceiling mounting my projector and i want as minimal cables as possible and am wondering if its possible to use a poe kit to transmit hdmi video? I have a ceiling mounted outlet and would like to somehow use the poe capabilities to transfer hdmi instead of ethernet. Is this possible? and is there any adapters or kits i can buy for this? thanks.
  6. Hi Guys I work at a sports bar and we're trying to find a better wireless speaker box system, because our current ones just break and have bad reception. We currently use these speakers: https://sportsselect.tv/product-details/ I plan on having multiple transmitters set to different frequencies, as we have multiple directv boxes, and want one on each box. My goal is to make custom transmitters and receivers using raspberry pi zero's or pi 3's, but I'm not sure how I should make them, any help is appreciated. UPDATE: So i managed to find a video of someone using NRF24L01 being able to transmit and receive 8bit audio at 32kbps, which the video claims he can up that to 10 bit audio at 32kbps. Ordering some arduino uno's and some NRF24L01 transcievers now, if anyone still has a better way let me know!
  7. igpu = integrated gpu in your cpu (a.k.a. intel hd graphics). Plug it into your motherboard, not the graphics card, and see if you get a picture, if you do, enter your bios (it'll say on screen which key to press) and disable igpu.
  8. as long as you don't overclock, you dont need an aio
  9. power included in rent? lucky. It's not efficient at all to mine with one card, usually just get pci 1x to 16x risers and people slap rx 480's or 580's on there, usually like 5-10 a system and then it's somewhat profitable.
  10. I'd suggest go for something more so like this: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Wpb2qk Or if you're willing to go for a less beefier cooler and slightly downgraded motherboard, you can throw in a 1070. The cooler and motherboard will still be fine, thermals may go up just a bit but there won't be thermal throttling still. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/rmqHVY PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel - Core i5-8400 2.8GHz 6-Core Processor ($209.89 @ B&H) CPU Cooler: be quiet! - Pure Rock Slim 35.1 CFM CPU Cooler ($30.50 @ Amazon) Motherboard: Gigabyte - Z370P D3 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($114.49 @ SuperBiiz) Memory: G.Skill - Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2800 Memory ($153.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Samsung - 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($84.99 @ B&H) Storage: Seagate - Barracuda 3TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($88.99 @ Amazon) Video Card: EVGA - GeForce GTX 1070 8GB SC GAMING ACX 3.0 Black Edition Video Card ($449.89 @ B&H) Case: Cooler Master - MasterBox 5 (White) ATX Mid Tower Case ($58.57 @ Amazon) Power Supply: SeaSonic - FOCUS Plus Gold 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($74.99 @ Newegg) Total: $1266.30 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2017-12-28 12:49 EST-0500

It's bad on wifi. Wouldn't even stream 1600x900 at 60fps for me, it had stuttering and lag issues, even with the router in the same room as the pc & steam link. Use wired and it'll be fine.
