  1. Oef yikes. Maybe not the right time to go ultrawide then...
  2. Budget (including currency): 1K Country: Belgium Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: AAA games 1440p ultrawide. Hi guys im planning tot go ultrawide. For this to work out I will also need to upgrade my GPU. I am now wondering if A 6800XT will suffice for pushing those frames to the 144 mark. Or am I really better off buying a 6900XT ?
  3. Maybe a stupid question, have you tried updating the bios to the latest version and a fresh re-install of the latest win10 build. What stream encoder are u using ? Maybe try a different one ?
  4. Hi, I would definetly repaste your cooler and check the mounting pressure of your cooler. This is indeed not normal. Also make sure evrything is set to default and that you are running the latest bios. If that all also does not help. You can try to adjust the AVX offset to something like 3.
  5. Hi, thanks for the tip. I changed it to balanced and extreme. But without the AVX offset, I still reach really high temps. How much do these AVX instructions occur while gaming ? Any idea ?
  6. Hi Jones177, Thanks for pointing this out. This does look to have kept my tems around the 80 mark !. But I notice that what it essentially does is run @ 4.4 ghz. So that is also not kinda ideal I guess ?
  7. Hi, Thanks for the reply. I have the below info: Also when gaming the temps are OK. Only sometimes when loading lvl's it tends to spike to 80. But generally when gaming it is kinda ok.
  8. Hi Guys, I have a Intel i9900k running stock with the Corsair H150i Pro cooler. When running Prime95 my temps instantly spike to 95+ C. degree. Corsair ICUE temperature is not going above 35 C. degree . I have repasted and remounted several times. But no positive results. The application I use for monitoring temps is HWinfo in sensor mode. My motherboard is a Gigabyte Z390 Aurus Elite(Latest bios). Is there anyone else who also has experienced these issues ? Is my CPU broken ? Could it be the Motherboard ? All tips are welcome. Thanks Mat.
  9. Hi I was facing the same issue recently, My Z390 Aurus Elite mobo paired with i9900K would not boot with just one connector. I bought the Corsair RM750 which has 2x 2x4 CPU connectors and this solved the issue. I would go for a PSU that has this. Kr, Mat
  10. You press the power button and noting happens ? Not even some fans start spinning ? A blinking LED/Buzzer sound ?
  11. Hi Guys, I have recently rebuild my PC. I am having difficulties overclocking the i9 9900K paired with the Gigabyte Z390 Aurus. The current RAM I have is Corsair vengeance 2666mhz CAS-16. I am running 5ghz on all cores with avx 5 offset on 1.365 volts with XMP dissabled. (2133mhz currently) System is stable-ish. With XMP enabled I get nowhere... I was wondering If new ram can increase system stability and if so what ram would be a good choice. Looking for assurance with XMP-compatibility. Kr, Mat
  12. Changing my PSU to a Corsair RM750 solved the issues I was having ! Bot CPU powerplugs are connected now.
  13. I have the latest BIOS installed. Did not help :/ Going to buy a stronger PSU will report back the results.
  14. Hi Guys, I just build a new PC after getting a good deal on a i9-9900K. After completing the built in went on to test it. Made sure everything was plugged correctly and pressed the power button. I was soon happy to see all the fans/pump of my CM ML/240 working. I entered the BIOS and everything was recognized. When I went to select my boot drive It showed all drives and had already selected the nvme drive as p1. So I restarted and the system started loading windows. The issue: When loading the OS, the loading circle of windows just hangs and the CPU fans start ramping up. And it just stays like this. I thought maybe I need to reinstall OS but when booting to a stick same issue re-appears. What I tried first was to swap memory modules, still the same issue. The MOBO has a 4x2 and 2x2 power connector for the CPU my CM G650 psu only has the 4x2 but that should by fine as long as you don't oc. But yet I thought maybe the psu can't provide enough power so I removed my Strix Vega 64 and the system booted. Have been running Prime95 and all is good. Quite high temperatures tho ?... So the GPU is not broken and it is not letting the system boot up. Do I need a more beefy PSU ? Do I just need the 2x2 ?(maybe some adapter ?) Or do you think the PCI-E Lane is broken on the Mobo ?
  15. When building my previous system I opted for the 6800K cause at that time I was going through College as a IT student. So needed that power and the threads for various things but mostly virtualized labs. Now that I finished my education I don't really use it that much for that, but it will certainly come in handy soon.
