  1. Hi guys, thought I'd share my latest DIY build with you 3D printed frame, plywood shell with a quite unusual finish... And here's a build log video if someone is interested
  2. Hi guys, here's my attempt at making something different A VESA compatible monitor stand with the Ryzen 1800X behind the screen And here's the video if anyone is interested:
  3. I know it's out of your budget but here's my recipe for a smart TV: - Logitech Ultimate/Elite remote (must have the Logitech Hub) - Intel NUC with native Plex media player - LEDs with light sensor - Amazon Echo Dot
  4. Hi guys. I thought I'd share my latest scratch build. I'm well aware that it isn't perfect, but it still might be inspirational Here's a linkage to the build log vid
  5. Good luck... I have over 56k subscribers on YT (YetAnotherTechChannel), and my DIY PC build videos have anywhere between 40k to 1,4 mln ('How to make a desk PC for adults') views. 97% of the companies I tried to reach out to didn't even bother to answer my email. 3% emailed me back telling me that they are not interested. The only two companies that I managed to get in touch with were the guys behind the Sentry case (and that's only because they are Polish) and AMD - but they actually reached out to me.
  6. What kind of data are you copying? If it's a bunch of smaller files (like photos) 35 - 48 MB sounds about right. But if you're getting this kind of speeds when transferring a single large file (a few gigs), then something is definitely wrong...
  7. I build it myself - there's a link in the initial post to a YT video that covers the construction process.
  8. Temps are reasonable, given the cheapest ($50) AIO cooler. The CPU can get to 65C under full load with the fans set to 900 rpms, at which you can bearly hear them. If you ramp up the rpms, it gets really loud, but the temps drop like 5C or so. I need upgrade... maybe a custom loop...
  9. This is my take on a DIY desk PC. Hope it's okay to post a YT video... it was a lot of work to make both - the desk and the build log video
  10. It's pine. I'll eventually apply some wood oil on it, but the problem is that it's a 5hrs drive to where my parents live
  11. Yeah, I moved to a new place a few months ago... Before that I didn't have a separate office space.
  12. I recently made a desk PC and although I used an AIO CPU cooler I think it's doable to air cool such system. As for the sponsorship - good luck with it... I've been doing YT videos for over a year now and even with a few thousands subs most of my emails to PR people at various companies remain unanswered... Anywho... here's my take on a desk PC. Just keep in mind that I'm over twice your age so glass tops and RGB lighting isn't my kind of aesthetics
