The haptic home button on my iPhone 8 Plus is still the strangest thing I've ever used and felt, it's such a convincing click yet in reality it's just a vibration.

One of the biggest things that holds people back from getting better at certain things is saying to themselves "I am bad at this thing". How many people have told you "I am bad at math" or "I am bad at writing?" Now you might think these statements are pretty harmless, but it does something rather sinister to your unconscious thought.

The problem with these statements is it gives one an excuse to turn off their brain. This shuts out any further thought from the subject. They are just "bad at math" and that's it. What we should be thinking instead is "how can I improve at math" or ""How can I improve at writing?" These force the brain to continue working, to work hard and get better at the task at hand.

I am a firm believer that as long as one isn't cognitively impaired anyone can learn anything they desire. Its just a matter of putting in the time, and failing over and over until they get it right.

This is one of my biggest criticisms in school. In life, you will fail many many times before you finally get it right. Failing is a part of life that we all must go through. There were times when my business was on the brink of failure because a supplier cut me off or my paypal account was frozen. I originally thought my business was going to go under when my parents threw out all my inventory in their house, but I learned to move on. This is the way life works. You will fail, now you have to learn to move on and apply what you have learned.

School teaches us that it's bad to fail, and that we are stupid because we failed. That we should always strive to be correct every time. The problem is this logic doesn't apply to the real world at all. Any persons life will be filled with mistake after mistake. The most important thing is that one learns from their mistakes.

Testing one of the RX 570's in my system with the FX 8350. Not a bad match. What has really impressed me is the underclocking benefits of these GPUs.

With no overclocking, only undervolting from 1150mV down to 760mV, it now sustains a constant core clock of 1244MHz (instead of dipping down below 1100 and even into the 900's) and also runs 15C cooler.

The result is a fairly significant performance gain.

After testing with Unigine Superposition, 1080p Extreme, the difference between bone stock and undervolted with a slightly tweaked fan curve was a score of 1868 vs 2190. 15% improvement.

    So today's been quite hectic:
Received my new Jaybird X3 - seller forgot to bundle the charger along with it, so I currently have no way to charge these things I temporarily lost the M.2 screw that holds my Crucial P1 in place, so I would've been without my NVME for a few days due to my lack of spare M.2 screws I cut my thumb on my brother's motherboard while I was cleaning up his PC for him I spent like an hour sizing my new logo and apparently I suck at it We'll hope for a better tomorrow...

Who is the most powerful person in the world?

    Not the president.

Not the head of the UN.

    Not any person on congress.

You probably still haven't guessed it.

Its the chairman of the Federal Reserve, Jerome Powell.

The value of money controls everyones lives. It determines where you will have a job, it determines whether you can eat and have a place to live, and it determines the value of your assets. Without the ability to control the money supply, we can end up with huge speculative asset bubbles that result in great depressions. People need a stable, predictible value currency from year to year, and this is the feds job.

The US central bank is responsible for controlling the value of the worlds reserve currency, the US dollar. The Federal Reserve does this by manipulating the interest rate banks can borrow from the fed. If the fed lowers interest rates, they "cheapen" the value of money to encourage spending and economic growth. If they raise interest rates, this makes the dollar "more expensive". Thus they discourage spending and encourage saving.

Donald trump should NOT be commenting at all on the Federal Reserve. Politics and money at that level can have absolutely disasterous consequences worldwide. If interest rates stay too low for too long, this encourages bad borrowing and asset bubbles (like 2008). If interest rates are too high, this discourages innovation and economic growth, and can manifest itself as high unemployment.

Leave the Fed up to their own devices. There is a very good reason the fed is considered a seperate entity from the government. Thats because if the fed was not a seperate entity, each president would simply keep interest rates low forever because they can say they "grew the economy" when all they really did was grow a bubble. Leaving politics out of the fed for them to decide what to do next without any form of polotical intervention is the best thing to do for our economy.

Just sell it and get a more reliable car. We aren't even losing out on much; the infotainment system is awful, it's ugly, the seats are uncomfortable, it's an automatic, it's slow, and it's not super fuel efficient.
