The onion is often hilarious.  There have been some scary instances of people mistaking it for actual news though, so I hereby note that it’s the onion.

I had thought that steel wouldn't work? A guide I followed said "do not use a ferromagnetic materials due to increased losses caused by the skin effect" (source). Hope it works well though! Keep us posted!

I could see that as a "google translate sings" lyric. I don't know what song, "never gonna give you up" perhaps?

It's 25 years, and these were made from 1989-1991 or so, so they're good. The S-Cargo is pretty wacky looking, but I'd say less cool as a car. But, definitely neat.

  6. I love the Nissan Figaro!! The Be-1 is also cool. I just wish I had the space and money to get one, going for about $5-$10 k. Also, it would be weird driving on the wrong side of the car in the US.

Lol the tires remind me of the tuning tires you could get in GTA V for the classic cars.

The wacky Japanese minicar that always knocked my socks off was the s-cargo.  Shaped like a snail.

cars have to be a certain age before they can be imported to the US without having to go through testing.  I dunno if those are old enough or not.  The chances they would pass is near zero so it may not be possible anyway.

I'm gay and I support this image

@Techstorm970 Well put. I think some Christians are way too caught up with particular issues, often including LGBTQ+ issues. Even if you were to argue all aspects of being gay is sinful (some good arguments for the opposite BTW), people seem to forget Jesus spent so much of his time with people so constantly engaging in much more clear sin. And he didn't spend time to say that they are evil and beyond hope. He ate with tax collectors (basically thieves, they'd take more than was owed and keep money), hung out with these guys, who no one thought weren't sinning. Jesus called all Christians to love. I'd say it's the most important thing Jesus asks us to do. We can't do that if we hate anyone, including anyone from the LGBTQ+ community. That's all without going into arguments saying that the Bible doesn't prohibit modern and faithful same sex marriage. From all the fuss some Christans make, you'd think being gay makes you not Christian, or anti-Christian. The only thing the Bible says will determine salvation is beliving/trusting in Jesus and that he rose from the dead. If you belive that core aspect, you are a Christian, being gay doesn't change it. Sorry about the rant. I just get worked up about this sometimes, and would love to see more diversity in the church, especially in regards to LGBTQ+.

@Pascal... It does lack Thunderbolt 3, but I'm not really expecting to need it. This is mostly for taking notes and running programs when away from my desktop, but I'll use my desktop for anything requiring a ton of horsepower, especially graphics wise. Plus, I won't have to worry about dongles. And yes, the keyboard should be a joy to use. My favorite keyboard I have is my desktop's with blue switches, second favorite is the keyboard in my ThinkPad E455. That thing is not quick by any standard (well, maybe by '90s standards), but the keyboard makes me like it.

Because yeah I was gonna say if you wanted to game on the go that integrated graphics is really too slow for that but for what you're doing it should be just fine, otherwise good purchase 👍

  17. Anyone remember which backpack company sponsored LTT a while back? I remember them at LTX19, their stuff looked pretty nice and I need a backpack, so I'm thinking about getting one.

I ended up returning my blackpack because it was a tad on the small side and didn't fit my water bottle and got the Grande instead and it's been amazing!

  18. This A340 interior was sort of like a car from the mid 2000s to me. A little too old to be current, a little too young to be retro. Still cooler than, say, a 737-800's cabin, but less cool than a 787, or--I imagine-- a MD-80 or old 747. I'm glad I flew it, but the inside was not very interesting. As fun as it is to geek out over planes, when I fly on them, it's just a flight after the first hour or two. I'm still just burning hours away by playing on a phone or browsing the infotainment system. So, it's a great thing to have a good infotainment system or in-flight wifi, or the comfort of a higher cabin pressure because of carbon fiber strength. That said, I'd rather book a flight on a 747 than a 787 just for the cool factor.
  19. I flew on a Virgin Atlantic A340-600 last year. It was amazingly long, though a little outdated feeling inside.
