So I want to have poetry on my wall, but different poetry every day, and I don't want to have much upkeep... I really want to make or otherwise obtain a massive e-ink display and hang it on my wall and write a program to feed it poetry in a nice font, automatically, each day. Turns out that massive e-ink panels are kinda pricey. However, I do have a decent internship this summer and some birthday amazon gift cards so there's a decent chance I'm gonna do this

As it turns out, Java's default look and feel for GUIs (Swing) is, well to put it nicely, absolutely atrocious. Maybe that's exaggerating it, but it looks kind of like Windows XP minus all the charm. I've just found some themes that fix the visual poison that is Metal (Ocean is no better), so it's a good day:

Some friends of mine were talking about the mathematician G. H. Hardy, so I pulled up a picture to see. Then I thought I might try to colorize the picture manually. All things are possible through GIMP, so I gave it a whirl, and here it is! Not perfect, but not terrible, I think.
