That moment when you figure out how to transfer files effectively between a Windows 98 VM and a Windows 10 host:

"YES! I finally got it!", five seconds later: "Why am I messing around with Windows 98 again?" o.O
(Also, if anyone is wondering, I was able to make an empty virtual floppy disk and write what I need to it in 98, then open it up in Windows again and read the data off of that.)

How’s you figure it out? Virtual networks?

@Hiitchy Virtual floppy disks. I had tried using a virtual optical disk but that is read-only. So I found a program called WinImage to create a virtual floppy disk file and loaded it into the virtual machine. Then I could write whatever I needed to it, and after I ejected it from the VM, I could read the data off of the .vfd file. Now my problem is trying to print to a file from a dos program. I can print a test sheet to a file, but the dos program doesn't detect the printer.

CutePDF said they were compatible with 98, but Windows says it is incompatible during installation. Currently looking into PDF995.

MS DOS 3.1 is so much cooler

Yeah, I should do some more MS DOS. I guess the graphical layout of something like Windows is more natural to me compared to a text based OS.

I forgot all the text, like c:\ DIR and such
