  1. I just tested them on a spare power supply and the quality seems really good, they look and feel the same as any corsair fan or cooler master fan i've ever had. Maybe actually even better. They are quiet, alot of airflow especially when putting 3 next to each other, the rgb lights are great. They feel like any other quality fan. But the only thing im worried about is if it's gonna be enough for the cpu. Im thinking of maybe using them for the case itself, since airflow seems pretty decent. And then for CPU cooler/radiator I just use the fans that come with it. Since its mostly important that the CPU fans can speed up if required, but if the entire case has a decent normal airflow this should be enough right?
  2. The Lian Li 011 holds 10 fans But yeah, the connector and speed control has been a huge oversight. I was worried about build quality, metal plastic but didnt expect for a simple 5 cent plug to be lacking
  3. The quality and design is actually really good, no complaints there and it was the only option to buy like 10 the same fans without spending an arm and a leg. The only downside is the cable, if the cables were normal (seperate pin for power and rgb) then they would be amazing.
  4. Yes they come with a remote control I thought it was only for RGB but also for fan speed. But still that is useless to me, I just want my PC to do the speed because I use it all throughout the day for light and heavy workloads. Ithink the best way for me is figure out which cables are RGB and which are fan speed, then just solder fan controllers on the 3 wires
  5. Oh I didnt know this, so if my PC gets hot, it will increase the power from the PSU to the Sata cables?
  6. Yes definately another lesson, but i really didnt expect them to mess up a simple fan connector but my idea of soldering it? Or finding like a splitter cable that splits the fan control and rgb control?
  7. What do you mean try 5v? It is just a sata connector?
  8. So it is just for RGB? How to connect the fans and the fan speed? Im so confused right now, I expected these fans to work like any other fan I ever used.
  9. yes it came with the fans I just inspected this M/B connector it has 3 pins, it is 4pin size, but only 2 cables come out. Im really puzzled how this system is supposed to do the speed? So the thick sata cable is for power, then I can plug up to 10 fans in this hub, then there is this cable coming "M/B Sync" which I think you connect to your motherboard, but I have no idea how. It is only 2 wires. That cant be correct, right? And the plug seems to be like a 3pin/4pin rgb connector. How is that gonna do the speed using only 2 wires?
  10. Im sorry I dont follow, they are only connected through a Sata cable and a "M/B" connector which appears to be an rgb header (I could be wrong). So how does it know how to increase the speed then when my system is under load? Through this "M/B" connector only? Because Sata power is constant. Maybe im a bit oldschool because I expected a seperate 4pin header and seperate rgb connector on the fans? Not a 6 pin?
  11. Hello, I have received AR12 9 fans from the brand "Aigo". They aren't your standard coolermaster or corsair quality, but still look pretty decent. However i'm a bit puzzled how to connect them. There seem to be 6pin connectors that go to a hub, the hub gets power from Sata and there is one connector that says M/B (motherboard?) which seems to be a standard 3pin rgb connector. So how do these fans control their speed? Are they spinning at a constant speed? Because if so, that has been a huge oversight obviously and then my only option is to figure out which 3 out of 6 of the wires are speed and which 3/6 of the wires are rgb to do some custom soldering? Thanks for the help
  12. I'm still looking to upgrade. I personally am used to intel but they say Ryzen is also better now a days. I was thinking about a 14700k with Z690 and 32GB of DDR5 ram. But there is also the Ryzen 7800x3D As im mostly using PC for gaming and also a fair bit of productivity i'm leaning towards the 14700k. But Ryzen is supposed to be cheaper for the same kind of performance? I'm also planning on doing some overclocking, which AM5 motherboard chipset do I need for that?
  13. Yes it will fit? Because as far as I know I only have 1 psu cable for the motherboard. Where is this other one coming from or was it given in the box? Also i will be running 13700k and already have a 2080 now
  14. Can I use my old PSU which i've had for 9 years on a new Z790 motherboard? I think something is different with pins for power supply on motherboard
  15. I have been thinking of getting the 011 mini instead of the regular 011. I think I need to change PSU to a "SFX" one right?
  16. Ah I see, well maybe at some point I want to upgrade to 4000 or 5000 series so maybe its best if I just email the store (or indeed corsair but idk if they know what the store sells) and ask them what they are selling and if its comptabile right?
  17. Okay the 2023 version 850e says it has PCIe 5.0 12VHPWR GPU is that good?
  18. Im sorry I have no idea what you mean exactly. The PSU wont work with what? Shouldnt a 850watt PSU be enough or are there now different PSUs?
  19. I dont really know what that means. i just want something future proof because in a few years im probably gonna go for an rtx 4000 or 5000 series
  20. So I should go with the RMe 2023 instead of the RMx 2021?
  21. oh yes that one i think, the top picks on pcpartpicker. I think i maybe mixed the name of the PSU and M2 ssd
  22. I'm thinking of this build but there are a few things i'm uncertain of. - Samsung EVO 2tb 980 pro vs 990 pro. Is the extra money worth the performance? - Corsair RM 850E vs 850X. I'm not sure what the difference is, one says 2021, the other 2023. Is later year better? - Is 2x16gb (32gb) DDR5 6400 fast enough? - Motherboard. I don't need something fancy, MSI z790 Pro Gaming looks like it has nice lightening and has functionality such as 5.1 audio jacks which I need. - Lian li 011 dynamic (is this still the nicest looking case with this front and side glass design or is there something better? - CPU cooler + fans. Obviously since i'm going for the 011 dynamic I want a good looking build. The Cooler Master Illusion with Halo fans look very good for the money right? Performance should be fine too I guess, i'm not looking for the most quiet system, as long as the performance isn't bad or anything I dont feel like going for a Corsair fan system. What do you guys think? What should I change? I'm taking my old RTX2080 with me since I always upgrade GPU and rest of PC seperate every 5 years or so Thanks
  23. Hello, After 5-6 years my Autonomous SmartDesk2 is showing it's age and I think it will break probably somewhere this year, so i'm looking for some alternatives. Not so long ago I think I saw (Linus'?) a youtube video about a motorized sit/standing desk with a PC mount under it. That way you no longer have to fiddle with long cables that move as you move your desk up and down. But I cannot really find which one this was. Can someone give me some advice in this? What is a good brand that has this feature or can you link me to Linus' video that reviewed this if it even was him/ Since my space is limited i'm only looking at the frame, I will use my old table top which is the right size.
