Upgraded RAM, CPU Overclock issue
Deaco replied to Anu Chohan's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
if it's running with no instabilities you're fine. but i'm not sure about voltage though. try and run it as close to voltage specifications as possible. -

yes i meant underclock just the 16gb kit to increase stability. -

try under clocking your ram, it adds stability. i do this when i use kits that weren't binned together. -
check your startup services as well in msconfig. also, defrag your drive

Good riddance i say. hopefully Australia follows on this soon because my $100 phone has more performance than the box Foxtel are renting out. The damn thing freezes on every button press. not fun.

Does the game you speak of happen to run on the source engine, specifically gmod? I ask this because you brought up repeating audio.

benchmark all your system components to try and find out what is bottle-necking, if i had to guess it's a problem with the CPU and it may need replacing.

Samsung have this http://www.samsung.com/global/business/semiconductor/minisite/SSD/global/html/whitepaper/whitepaper11.html But i'm not sure if it's just for their ssds.

TP-Link WiFi drivers still aren't out yet so no LAN parties for me. Edit: you can revert back if there are issues. so no problems.

Least favorite thing about your school computers?
Deaco replied to flibberdipper's topic in General Discussion
our IT staff disabled OpenGL and D3D from all the E8400 computers to stop me and some friends playing CS 1.6. we run in software mode now. hehe, but no cs_mansion also the hard drives are so old and slow it can take up to 10 minutes to get past the 'preparing windows' prompt in Windows 8.1. just wish they had SSDs. although, the IT lab has 4790s now which is awesome and they still have OpenGL and D3D enabled. my homegroup teacher sometimes opens that room at lunch and plays it with us. -

Sorry but no you can not transfer from OSX to windows. for the same reasons you have to wait for a mac version of a game to come out.

You fail to mention the speed of your internet. but yes, just copy from the externals SteamApps folder to your PC's
