  1. ok that's interesting... I guess I'll just buy the pc350 and see how it goes first hopefully the Crystal Sound 3 is decent enough for it
  2. Yeah.. sorry but I don't know anything about Audio But i meant something like what I just read in the Asus website about the z97 Pro Gamer : "Z97-PRO GAMER drives some of the very best headphones available — up to 300Ω load impedance." This z97 is older than my z170-a but it's more high end.. so I don't know
  3. but I'd rather not because I'm on a tight budget here I've been searching for the specs of the "Crystal sound 3" so that I can find the max impedance .. but i couldn't find it anywhere which is strange.
  4. Hi So after A LOT of research I think I found my perfect headset! the Sennheiser pc350 SE has all the features that I wanted in a headset. because : 1- they're noise cancelling (I need that because I study a lot and my neighbors are annoying) 2- they come with a really good Mic 3- they're a Sennheiser! I always wanted to buy a Sennheiser headset. 4- they're just within my budget which I'd rather keep below $80 Unfortunately I found that they have an impedance of 150 ohms... and most people say that I need an amp for it or even a sound card. However I have the the Asus z170-a motherboard, which comes with a "Crystal Sound 3" and they're supposed to have an amplifier according to the ASUS official website, even though they didn't mention any more details about the amp. So, does anyone knows if I'd need to buy an amp or a DAC ? If anyone of you guys have tried the pc350 or a similar headset with the ASUS z170-a this would be my lucky day I'm not an audiophile and i'll be using them for noise cancelling, gaming, watching videos and a little bit of music. Also, I'd appreciate it if you suggest a headset that matches the quality of the pc350 and has its features (good Mic, noise cancelling and less than $80) and don't require an Amp or a DAC ! thanks in advance
  5. Hey all My friend was working on a graduation project on his pc, but when he connected an audio cable the display suddenly turned black (no signal) although the PC was still running. A manual restart didn't solve the problem. He has an AMD 7850 and an old AMD cpu (he can't recall it's full name) that doesn't have an iGPU. He knows another person with the same GPU (the 7850) who's facing the exact same problem. What can he do to solve the problem without losing progress on the project ? can this be caused by a new driver possibly killing the GPU ? (btw I have the latest driver and my r9 390 is fine) thanks in advance
  6. Thank you for responding. Yes the vsync in FO4 is the worst vsync I've ever seen, I just don't know why forcing triple buffering and vsync from a 3rd party program didn't work as it did with AC black flag. Well I guess it's time for me to save money for a freesync monitor ..
  7. So I've been playing the game for more than a 100 hours and i liked it, but I experienced a really annoying problem. I'm getting a solid 60 fps when I'm outdoors but, when I'm indoors I often get an fps hit when looking in a particular direction (I noticed that this is associated with lighting).. My fps decreases rapidly from 60 to 40 then gets capped at 29.9 (and GPU usage goes down to 55% and cpu usage to 15%) then it goes up rapidly back to 60 fps when i look in another direction. This terrible fps variation is so annoying. This issue is most noticeable inside the institute ... at first i thought this problem is caused by the AMD driver but when I searched I found someone with a GTX 980 having the same issue. I tried lowering the graphics to the lowest settings but that didn't solve the issue. I disabled the in game vsync (while keeping the 60 fps cap) and boom! the problem disappeared and my fps remains above 57 ALL THE TIME ! but the screen tearing makes the game unplayable. I tried forcing vsync & triple buffering in radeon settings, RadeonPro and D3Doverrider... all the 3 give the same result : the screen tearing is reduced but it's still there and it's very annoying. Also I tried dynamic vsync in radeonpro and it gives the same result. I installed the interior fog removing mod without any benefit. I remember having a similar issue with AC black flag and I solved it using D3Doverrider's triple buffering and vsync. The vsync in fallout 4 is the most obnoxious vsync i've ever seen Anyone having the same issue ? Is there any way to solve this problem (other than buying a freesync monitor) ? My specs : i5 6600k/ Asus R9 390/ 8 gb RAM /Windows 10 64 bit
  8. the problem is that my local store is my only hope. If I want to buy from Amazon (for example),I have to wait more than 10 days for shipping in the US + international shipping, and spend tons of extra money on customs and taxes. so for the mobo, the cheapest z170 on newegg was a gigabyte for $115, if i want to get that one then i'm sure i'll end up paying the same as the z170-A. as for the PSU, I wanted to get a 600w evga psu, but the 390 requires a 650w psu with at least 50 amps at the 12v rail, while that psu delivers only 49 amps on the 12v rail. I know it would probably work but i won't risk destroying or limiting my $444 GPU because i wanted to save $25, also the 750w is more future proof. same applies to the RAM, this is the cheapest DDR4 in the store. I know that SSD's are a must in all high end builds, but I couldn't find a way to get a less expensive components. i will try to save money to get a good 120 gb ssd ASAP
  9. they don't have the crucial mx or bx, but i can get a samsung 850 evo 120 gb. but that storage isn't enough for me even for the first week the 4690k has the same price as the 6600k, so getting the Haswell plus a good z97 won't save me any money, so i think the best thing to do now is to stick with the HDD and saving for a good ssd. My budget is limited and the prices here are crippling, Yes I know what difference good SSD's can make, but the only way for me to afford them is by getting an r9 380 instead of the 390. I'd rather stay with the hdd + r9 390 now because fps is what matters for a gamer Anyway thanks for the advice, i won't be getting a v300... i'll save some money to get a good intel or samsung ssd ^^
  10. I considered the nzxt s340, but the difference between it and the h440 is so small ($35) and won't make me able to get a better monitor. hmmm I can get a Kingston SSDNow V300 240GB instead of the seagate and pay some additional bucks, but I'm not sure if 240 GB will be enough. do you think that this ssd is good ? i searched for reviews and found mixed results.
  11. I can get a cheaper case like the CM HAF 912, the CM k380 and the Corsair Carbide SPEC-1. These cases have a really bad build quality and only 2 fans (bad ones) out of the box, and i couldn't even find decent reviews on them because not much people buy them. The h440 has an amazing 4 stock fans, excellent build quality and is silent I wanted to buy a decent 650w PSU, but all are out of stock. I won't buy from the internet because of the reasons i mentioned. No, that monitor isn't available better monitors are significantly more expensive than the one i want to buy. I can't afford that or an ssd :\ but anyway, do you think going with the i5 6600k is the best choice ?
  12. thank you. Yes i think i'll stick with the 6600k
  13. Jordan (mideast) Unfortunately i can't afford that. Stuff here are like 50% more expensive than in the US... if not more. example : the CM 212 evo costs $64 here, more than double its American price
  14. almost $1550 ... but as i said, the taxes & customs in my country are really high. it's so annoying
  15. Hey guys; I'm planning to get these in a week or so : Case : NZXT H440 CPU & cooling : i5 6600k + Cooler Master 212 evo Motherboard : Asus Z170-A GPU : Asus r9 390 (non-strix :\) RAM : G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4 2400 HDD : Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM PSU : EVGA SuperNOVA 750W 80 PLUS Bronze Monitor : Asus VS228NE 22" 1080p PS : I rely only on my local store because if I ordered something from the internet it'd cost much more money and time (shipping, customs, taxes ..etc) .. therefore my options are limited. However; I can : 1- get an i7 4790k with a cheaper z97 mobo and RAM, it'll cost the same as the system above. 2- Or, i could get an i5 4460, cheaper H81 mobo, cheaper RAM and keep the stock cpu cooler. The money saved can be spent on a 1440p monitor. The 4460 is better for 1440p gaming than at 1080p if i'm not mistaken. If you were to decide, which one would you choose ?
