StaffCorporal got a reaction from SmokeHHH in GPU upgrade: 1660 super or 2070 super now that the 30xx series is coming?
If you can't wait for next gen I would get the cheapest used card that gets you playing what you want at acceptable framerates. Then when the next gen launches you can make your choice.

StaffCorporal reacted to minibois in Does my motherboard support NVMe?
Your motherboard does not have an M.2 slot, so the only way it can support M.2 NVME/PCIE SSD's (like the Kingston you linked) is by using a PCIE to M.2 card.
I would not so that and just get a 'normal' 2.5" SATA SSD instead.

StaffCorporal reacted to keskparane in is it harmfull to set cpu fan speed at 100% all the time ?
Pros:
Better cooling. (Although often 100% fan is overkill)
Cons:
More noise.
Accelerated wear of fan.
Faster dust build up.

StaffCorporal reacted to LinusTech in Do Phone Batteries Wear Out if They Are Connected to Power All the Time?
I've had a couple phones due prematurely from this.
They were a couple generations old tho (galaxy s6 variants iirc) so maybe it's improved now *shrug*

StaffCorporal got a reaction from Haro in Do Phone Batteries Wear Out if They Are Connected to Power All the Time?
Yeah it is not great for a litium-ion battery to be fully charged all the time. It is definitely not as bad as draining it a tiny amount and then recharging it fully or draining it fully and recharging. But over time it will degrade.

StaffCorporal got a reaction from dizmo in PC Build Under $200
LTT made a video about this. Get a Dell Optiplex and buy a graphics card.
EDIT: Throw in an SSD if you can afford it

StaffCorporal got a reaction from marcosmoutta in Do you know of any graphics card better than the GT 1030 that draws 40 watts or less?
There are none

StaffCorporal reacted to Princess Luna in I'd like to ask four your opinion.
Every thing except the stupidly overpriced dumb vega 64 looks like a very solid gaming rig, with Ryzen you need an Asus or AsRock motherboard and at least 3000mhz memory which you got covered already... the PSU is over kill for a single GPU system and you can settle for a 550w Evga G2/3... and probably buy a GTX 1080 instead and you're set.

StaffCorporal got a reaction from Changis in This ram OK for a gaming PC build?
Your motherboard has a RAM support chart, it is a good idea to check if the RAM is listed there. Also you have not told us what hardware you will use with the RAM, so it is pretty hard to say if it will work.

StaffCorporal reacted to PigWithAMustache in Pros and Cons of an m.2 drive
Pros: Speed, form factor.
Cons: Price, some motherboards have no m.2 ports

StaffCorporal reacted to Soundsystem90 in Bottlenecking
I suggest swapping it out for a GT 210 to stop all bottlenecks.

StaffCorporal got a reaction from NinjaJc01 in does b150m supports ram overclocking?
If you had bothered to read the specs that MSI has listed on their webpage you would already know that: "DDR4 2133 MHz and higher memory modules will only run at maximum of DDR4 2133 MHz on XMP mode due to Intel® chipset limitation"
It is okay to ask, but seriously RTFM.

It doesn't matter how fast your connection is. The distance is everything.

HDD failure. (worst case) . or it could be the memory. I have the same problem with my Lenovo laptop. But with me these are not the cause

StaffCorporal reacted to EPPHO in Do i need a new cpu
That CPU is Quad, not duo. Yes 480 would be bottlenecked by it. I suggest you sticking to your right for some time and saving money for CPU + GPU upgrade (+motherboard and RAM).

StaffCorporal got a reaction from Kraxelaxel in 600-800€ Gaming Pc Build
Looks good. Maybe get 1 x 8GB RAM so you have more room for upgrade and the PSU could be better.

StaffCorporal reacted to pwn_intended in Upgrading laptop with SSD
IIRC, using the built in windows imaging tool requires the source drive to be same size or smaller than the destination. So you will have to re-size your partition before you make the image.
