If you quit gaming, why would you buy a gaming headset.

      ikr? hahahahahaha

  2. but how about sound degradation/latency over bluetooth vs proprietary wireless (probably 2.4GHz)
  3. I do have the budget for the Arctis 7 but the Bluetooth on the 3 (meaning I can use it wirelessly with my phone) is really enticing. Help me decide? Is the sound quality and/or mic quality different? EDIT: I don't care for surround 7.1
  4. did you install drivers properly? you should DDU everything first before reinstalling the RX580 drivers http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html
  5. I've been using a RAIDMAX Drakon DK706 for a little over a month now. And it's definitely worth it (at least for me). I like reclining when I'm watching (and I just watch most of the time). I use a separate ottoman to rest my leg/feet. HOWEVER, I do have some issues with its build quality. Assembling it is a PITA as there's no way to properly align the parts. I'm pretty sure mine isn't even straight (not sure how to explain this). That's probably where a legit DxRacer will shine over these offbrands ahaha
  6. I just wanna hear from other people who've experienced being the sidebae. haha

    Mixtape App?

Hi. So I've been seeing this girl and I wanted to make her a "mixtape". Something to remember me by while she goes on a trip with another guy (don't ask, very complicated situation). I would've gone with a Spotify playlist but most songs on my list aren't even there (they're all on YT though) What's the best way I could do this? Like maybe combine all the songs into one file and just send her the file to listen on her phone?
  8. the ryzen 5 1600x won't work without a GPU. so if you're planning to delay your GPU for later, go with the Coffee builds posted above.
  9. I'll list down those that are within my budget (70$, in no particular order) FSP Hexa Hexa+ Hyper K Raider Hydro Hyper M HEC Cougar SL400 RS550 Cougar VTX From what I've read, these are all pretty shitty and the S12II would be a better choice ahaha actually the Seasonic 650G and 400W Fanless aren't used. they're brand new , just really old. Your point does still apply because the sellers are only offering 1-week warranty.
  10. @STRMfrmXMN @WoodenMarker So I found a Seasonic Platinum 400 Fanless for 50$. It's Tier 1 and fanless. Do you think it'll be fine in such a small case?
  11. might overclock a bit to get 2400G-ish performance but yea hahaha holy cow nice catch on those 650Gs. I might get that instead. thanks!
  12. ^this, I already know. But there was a thread not so long ago explaining why we shouldn't be buying the S12II and the M12II.
  13. It's TipidPC.com (a local ads website for PC components). However prices are in PHP (basically 50 PHP = 1USD) and the site is also riddled with used parts ahaha. you can use Advanced Item Search for better filters. If you don't wanna bother with that, try this (a local store's pricelist)
  14. So I'll be building this for our house. CPU: Ryzen 3 2200G MB: Gigabyte AB350N Gaming WIFI RAM: 2x4GB DDR4-3200 (whatever's the cheapest) HDD: 1x 3TB WD Red (will probaly add another 2 or 3TB down the line). SSD: 128GB Plextor M6V (as boot drive) Case: CoolerMaster Elite 110 OS: Windows 7 Professional (will shift to Windows 10 later). It'll serve as My niece's PC Our family's HTPC (using Kodi) 24/7 torrent box 24/7 SMB Server Anyways I'm trying to build this AS CHEAP AS POSSIBLE and so far for the PSU, my first choice is the Seasonic S12II 520W which costs around 2,800.00 PHP (≈56$) here. Is there a better alternative? I know that we shouldn't be buying this PSU in 2018 but I really have no more budget. I can maybe spare up to 70$ on the PSU but that's it. What's the next cheapest PSU I can buy for this use case? EDIT: BTW, this build will be GPU-less FOREVER. So I feel like I only really need 200-300W (maybe even 150W).
  15. It's the start of a 4-day long weekend in my country tomorrow.

    Can't decide if I should

    • play (and finish) Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones - had it on my library for years and I've played SoT and WW
    • rank up in LoL - currently at Flex P1 and Solo/Duo P4, aiming for D5 this season
    • bingewatch TV shows.
  16. hmm. have you tried forcing the game/s to run on the GTX860M ? there should be an option on the NVIDIA Control Panel to do this.
  17. oh no i meant if I transfer the pst file itself. Is there some option where I can point Outlook to that archive file?
  18. Ryzen 2200G - 100$ ASRock B350M Pro 4 - 60$ 2x8GB TridentZ DDR4-3200 - 170$ Crucial MX300 275GB SSD - 87$ Seagate Barracuda 3TB HDD - 75$ That's around 500$. You have 500$ for a case you like, a good PSU, and some peripherals, and maybe some savings for your GPU budget Do note that if you plan on getting a high-end videocard (like a something along the lines of a 1070 to 1080), the 2200G will not scale as good and may be a bottleneck to the system.
  19. Assuming you're going without discrete graphics, definitely the 2200G Even if it were with discrete graphics I'd still go with the the 2200G just for upgradability and future value. the 2600K is already 5 years old. Besides if you already have discrete graphics in your plan I'm pretty sure you can get a similarly-priced GPU-less Ryzen counterpart.
  20. OH shoot there's an offline archive right on Outlook's sidebar. dammit I wish I saw that sooner. thanks! BTW, I can copy and paste archive files between computers right? So I'll be able to access any archive file using Outlook, without any credentials required?
  21. Hi! So our company recently transitioned to MS Exchange using Outlook 2016 (coming from IBM SmartCloud). What I did was transfer all of my e-mails from SmartCloud (using the IMAP server) to my MS Exchange account. It was basically drag-and-drop. HOWEVER, I did ignore the warning regarding retention policy because I thought that meant offline retention. APPARENTLY, we have the default 1 year retention policy in our MS Exchange account. And only the admin has an option to change the policy. Now my problem is that I have a ton of >1y/o emails that came from SmartCloud that are getting deleted on a daily basis due to this retention policy. Our SmartCloud server has since been closed and I can only make backups through Outlook. How would one archive these e-mails offline? Rants: I really don't understand why we need a retention policy when the Mailbox size per user is like a 100GB. My only guess that it may be a requirement for ISO on information security. There also seems to be an oversight from the IT Department as they did not inform people about the retention policy.
  22. Thanks for the info guys! so looks like I'll either Convince them to go with a R5 2400G + 16GB RAM desktop. Then add a dGPU down the line (when GPU prices let up or when they have money to spend); or Let them buy a 7300HQ + 1060 laptop; or They can add a bit more for a 7700HQ + 1060. P.S. AFAIK, the son is not even a gamer, so I would assume the load would mostly be CAD, simulations, and rendering (he's being groomed to be in Eng'g). From a few google searches, it seems they won't need a 1060 for this, and they should appreciate more CPU power (cores and threads) @Jurrunio @Streetguru @ZM Fong @SupaKomputa @MaxBunny
  23. Are there laptops like these? My boss is asking me to look for a laptop. Baseline is he wants the GPU to be at least a GTX1060. It's for his son and the workload will mostly be 3D modelling and probably simulation software. Budget is 62,000 PhP which is around 1200$ USD. I initially recommended a DIY PC, but with that budget and the shit GPU and RAM prices, I doubt it'll be worth. Anyways, are there any Ryzen laptops in the market with discrete graphics?
  24. now playing:

(2005) Prince or Persia: The Two Thrones

I'm getting 4000 FPS on cinematics and menu haha ??

Game itself runs at 200++ FPS. What's the best way to limit this to 74 FPS? FRTC? My monitor's FreeSync range is only up to 75Hz

  25. So I've had my Huawei P9 (EVA-L19) for a little over a year now and I'm looking to upgrade before I'm assigned overseas. I'm not a gamer and/or photographer so CPU/GPU and Camera specs don't mean much to me. What's important for me are the following: Thickness - the Huawei P9 is VERY THIN at 7mm. Something from 7-8mm would be nice. NFC - for loading/reloading of my train cards, I wouldn't upgrade to something without this. Battery Life - this is very dependent on use case but anything better/equivalent to the Huawei P9 should be good. Phone/Screen Size - So the P9 is sized at around 6.35" but the screen is actually only 5.2". I'd like to maintain the phone size, as I'm uncomfortable holding big phones. For screen size, the bigger the better. I'm fine with just 1080p as atm I don't really have content that exceeds that resolution. Storage - the internal memory doesn't have to be massive as I'm really doing fine with 32GB, BUT, it has to be expandable with microSD cards. Fingerprint - is required. Preferrably on the back, but I can adapt to front ones. Budget is pretty flexible. I'm currently looking into ignoring all my requirements and just getting a Note 8 but I feel like it's not a worthy investment. So anything non-highend and much cheaper than that would be better. Obvious choice right now is a Huawei P10 (which is the legit upgrade of the P9). But that model is pretty old and soon to be replaced by the expensive P20. Anyways. Any Recommendations?
