  1. I really appreciate the detailed response. I was already doing to thing you suggested and it is still not working. I only have 1 RCA to 3.5mm jack and 1 rca to rca cables. They could be dead but at this time I do not know. I also tried swapping speakers out as well but that did not work So, It is either bad ports or cables. I will get another cable or 2 of each come payday. Thanks for the help Tom
  2. I put my list in USD, I did not include the OS but you can get an OS for about 30$ through some 3rd party vendors. I chose the 2200g as you can do some decent gaming on it on low settings without a dedicated GPU, but also threw in a 1050ti that you could save up for in the future or something better. I went Ryzen as you said you wanted the upgradeablility of a machine. Good Luck on the Build sir! 3. Good day folks! I have an older Onkyo HT-R8230 that I am trying to hook up to my laptop and or my phone via 3.5mm jack. I have done lots of A/V work but I am very rusty when it comes to this section of AV. I know the answer is simple but I simply cannot think of what the answer to my problem is. I have a BEHRINGER XENYX 1202FX for my sound board. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000J5Y214/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Things I have tried so far, 3.5mm to RCA then 1/4 phono out of the board back to rca for a signal.Tried running directly from my phone (S9+) to the amplifier but that won't work either. We moved about 3 months ago and I had a PC connected via optical and it worked perfectly. It was also in a closed room and not in a garage like it is now and I am not going to leave my 2ndary machine in the garage. Not if my dad and I will be working on projects and stuff. For all the audiofiles who know more then me let me know what your solutions might be! Thanks!
  4. Well this double posted not sure how to delete it.....
  5. Thank you for that I still wish I could fix it cause I know it's there hahaa This might be the final post before I give it to him.
  6. Thanks man. Overall I'm really happy with how it turned out. Not sure how but 2 scratches appeared on the front of the case. I have been so careful that it's just aggravating. I could attempt to cover it up but I dont want to risk making it worse... gahhh.
  7. The day has finally come when I finally get to announce that my brother is home and I have gotten windows installed and done a couple benchmarks at the moment. I will be doing more tomorrow but this is what I got. I have not given it to him yet, not sure when I will be seeing him but I suspect sometime soonish. I just did the Resident Evil and 3D Mark Skydiver this evening. I plan on doing cinibench and firestrike and timespy tomorrow afternoonish.
  8. After months of work I finally mostly finished my brothers computer. Still waiting on my sister-in-law to get me his rank patch as I have not had the money to purchase one. I mean why buy one when I can get it free lol. Last step was getting the rear panel wrapped with the 3M Shadow Black wrap, man it looks good! He might be swapping branches so I might have to do a color change and a new glass panel if my brother wants me to do it. Excited to finally have it done, so much work, (the paint booth is still standing after months of not touching it ha! Thanks to everyone for the help and support and those who helped donate parts to make it possible! Thank you all again! Full part list here: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/xCqTJ8 I still have not loaded windows as I have not had time or money to get a key at this moment but it will get done before he gets home. I want to get some better photos but we have had a lot of rain lately and between 2 jobs I have not had time to get more professional looking photos. But I wanted to share with you all the progress as it stands!
  9. Thanks for the advice, but I am going for the time let a professional do the work. I have heard mixed feelings about the soapy water though, the other big issue is a lack of a really sharp blade, I have a couple of decently sharp knives but I don't have anything you know scalpel sharp at this moment. Yeah I borrowed the heat gun from one of my jobs but I was doing it wrong lol. Again for this time I will let the professionals do the work I still have roughly 65ish sq feet of wrap left after the shop uses what I have. I am hoping to sell the rest of the wrap and help offset some of the other costs but we shall see. I have limited time between 2 jobs and stuff. It will be around 40$ for the wrap to be applied and I will pick it up next week. I am in no rush for it either, I however can't wait to get some killer photos with it done. I am thinking of taking some pictures at the National Guard Armory with some of the trucks ect... I have a couple other ideas but I will leave them as ideas for now. Again thanks for the suggestion Tek!
  10. Yeah I can't wait to have it fully done!
  11. My first attempt at getting the wrap on was a failure... I do like how it looks overall but I am going to have a professional install it and allow him to purchase the rest of what I have for a discounted price. I would try again but I hate being wasteful. Hopefully the shop will let me watch and see how it's done properly.
  12. I have been waiting on the wrap from 3M and it arrived today, the area rep had told me it would be roughly 5feet wide by 60in long. Wellllll.... it is slightly longer than 60in long. Try 15 feet long. I am so thankful and excited to get nates computer finished. That's 75sq feet of wrap! I was expecting 15-20 sq feet!#thankful #gift #3MAlso kitty approves! I will try and get it installed this weekend and try and get some finished photos too!
  13. As much as I am happy with how the back panel turned out I think I am going to get it wrapped in something really cool. I decided this due to a chip in the paint and a few high spots that if I were to redo might pop back up. Got a sign place here in town I think has the perfect vinyl for what I'm doing. This wrap is almost holographic and I think will add a really nice touch to the case overall. It pretty much changes the shade of the colors based upon how much light hits it and where.
  14. I wish I had a MC near me... Nothing close electronics store wise apart from Bestbuy's...
