  1. Hey look. I forgot DDR means Double Data Rate.... oops. Windows really should show it as 2400 though.... makes zero sense why it shows it as 1600.
  2. Doing so now. Will show results once downloaded.
  3. Seems like I come here every week with a new problem. Anyway, today's problem is my RAM is only going to 1600 MHZ according to Windows 10 Task manager. Strange thing is, in Bios, it shows it being at 2400 MHZ. Now normally I would just say "Bios is right, Windows is dumb" but no matter how much I change the clock speed on the Ram, it always stays the same. Here is the ram I am using. (If amazon links are not allowed, I am sorry!) https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-32GB-2400MHz-Memory/dp/B00GM83C86/ref=sr_1_3?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1483691388&sr=1-3&keywords=corsair+vengeance+32gb Here are also my computer specs in case you need them. Chasis: Thermaltake Core P5 Motherboard: MSI Z87-G45 GPU: MSI R9 390X (x2) Processor: Intel Core i7-4790K RAM: Corsair Vengence 32 GB CPU Cooler: Custom Water cooling loop PSU: EVGA 1000W G2 Here is a screen capture of Task manager / Bios. If you need anymore, feel free to ask. I just want the speeds I paid for, even if there is no difference. Task Manager: Bios:
  4. Okay so I’m having a problem. I have 3 Asus VE278H monitors and while connected to the hub, they randomly turn on and off in game only it seems like. All power saving settings are turned off as well. My graphics card is a R9 390x. Does anyone have a solution for this? Considering the LTT Channel was sponsored by Club 3D with the MST hub, I would assume someone here would know a thing or two about them. I have a video of the problem I am talking about. I have already posted to the Club 3D forums but have yet to receive a response. I have Googled my problem with no luck yet. Thank you for the help in advance! Edit: This ONLY happens when I am in a game. It's been a good hour with no flickering but right as I get into a game, what you see in the video starts to happen... No idea what is causing this.
  5. Been playing for a lot. It was a driver as far as I'm aware. I'll update this thread with further information if something comes up again. Thank you!
  6. I doubt there is any dust in there as I blew it out a couple weeks ago.
  7. I do, but it's impossible for me to use them. I'm using the lower 2 PCIe slots.
  8. Haven't touched GPU overclocks yet, waiting for a game to actually lag me to even bother with that. I really hope one of the capacitors didn't die that would be.... inconvenient. I just went back to driver version 16.7.3 for Crimson. Hopefully this fixes it.. Though it doesn't make any sense... If Bios doesn't detect a plugged in GPU, then wouldn't it be dead?
  9. So before we begin, here is my system info CPU: i7-4790K (OC 4.20 GHZ) GPU: 2 MSI R9 390Xs (Crossfire Disabled, Custom Water blocks installed) Motherboard: MSI Z87-G45 Ram: 32 Gigs Corsair Vengence PSU: 1000W EVGA GPU Driver: Crimson 16.11.5 Everything (GPUs and CPU) is cooled using a custom loop. Anyway, here is where my problem begins. I would be playing a game and randomly the system would just freeze, audio will still work and I can still talk to my friends on Discord using voice just the picture is frozen. I restart the computer and the second (Bottom in this case) won't even be recognized in device manager, doesn't output anything and Bios shows the same thing. A couple restarts later and it just.... Works... Now that's the scary part, the GPU was dead, but now it works just fine and it's happened twice so far. Everything is seated in properly and it JUST started happened yesterday (November 30th, 2016) I want to know why it's all the sudden acting up and then coming back to life... and it happens randomly. I can be playing for hours and it will just happen. It's happened in Titanfall 2 and GTA 5. All temperatures are fine so it isn't a thermal problem (Nothing goes above 40C) Any help would be appreciated, and I'll drop more info if needed. Thank you!
  10. I am looking for MST Hubs that go from Display Port to HDMI with 3 monitor outputs I saw the Club 3D MST Hub but it seems to be having bad reviews as of recently on Amazon. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
  11. What is TIM? If it's Thermal compound I already put third party stuff on it.
  12. That's actually what I'm doing right now. Temps went from 94C to 74C on full load for top card. The temp in my room is about 83F. Now that I know how to solve, I need to know where to put a fan in this case... and how as all my pan plugs on my motherboard are taken up. X.x
  13. So, I'm having a bit of a thermal issue, and I really have no idea what else to do besides jumping straight to water cooling the GPUs (Which I really don't want to do as of right now so I'm really hoping the bright people on this forum can help me) I got a new case, hoping my GPU temps would be fixed, but sadly they are the same. The case I have now is the Core P5 from Thermaltake. I have 2 R9 390Xs (crossfire disabled as of right now till I get the thermal issue situated) I have the top card running at 16X pci-e and the bottom card running at 4x as I have it in the lowest PCI-e lane so they wouldn't be sandwiched together as tight. My top card while in game reaches a toasty 94C most of the time which is extremely bothersome as I don't like it running THAT hot. I understand that AMD generally is hot, but I would love for there to be a cheap solution without me having to expand my loop into my GPU as well. Here are some pics so you could get a better idea of my situation. Things I have tired: -Applying aftermarket thermal paste to BOTH gpus -switching case -Spreading GPUs apart (as seen in the picture) -custom fan curve in MSI afterburner
