OP said he didn't care if it was quiet or loud, because overtime the bearings go out on the fans or whatever else might happen and they all get louder. -

Yes, and also I checked and the U14S has the same cost as the U12S while also maintaining the memory clearance. I updated my original post with links.

I'd personally invest in a decent 140mm heatsink like a Phanteks PH-TC14PE, be quiet dark rock, noctua NH-D14/U14S, etc if you go with the 5820K. -

It costs more than the Evo, and @Deletive decided to try and keep the cost close to that of your original build plan while upgrading you to LGA 2011. That's my guess anyway. -

It isn't complete trash, if it were on sale for $69.99 - $79.99 it'd be worth it, but when there are relatively high end SSDs that are on sale for the same price as this low-mid range SSD it's much less compelling. -

@Bloodyvalley It'd be a better deal if there weren't other 240GB SSDs on sale for $99 that were better, like the Sandisk Ultra II 240GB, or the OCZ vertex 460 240GB which was 104.99 just recently, or the MX100 240GB which was available for $99.99 last month all of which perform better than the V300. It's still a deal, although I personally would suggest the people go for the Sandisk Ultra II since it's an all around better SSD -
