So in other words, games like mgsv:gz and pp shud be no problem. And upcoming games of 2015-2016, no problem with a change of psu and gpu. For gaming it required cpu or gpu or both

I own a hp pavilion hp p6608d. Intel i5 650, hd 5450 gpu, 8 gb ram, 500gb, psu 300 watts. Soon to upgrade: psu to 500watts/650 watts. Gpu to gigabyte gtx 960 or any nvidia/amd card that i5 650 can handle. To play med-high, not to ultra (or extra). Smooth gameplay. Can it last for 3-4 yrs ? Handle any latest games this year till 2018? Or 2017? Pls enlightened me.
