  1. Hello Everyone, I'm building a new computer with a mix of new hardware and salvaged hardware from my two-year-old computer (I left for college and my SSD died so I repurposed the computer as a server for my dad's business, which needed a new one anyway). For the specs, I have a Ryzen 5 2600, 2x16GB Corsair Vengence DDR4 (old), GTX 1060 6G (old), 1x256GB Samsung 850 Pro (old from server RAID array), 2x8TB WD HDD. For the PSU I'll just get something 80+ Bronze from a reputable company, probably a Corsair CXM 550. I want a smaller form factor for my computer so I was thinking an mATX mobo, either the ASRock B450M Pro4 (https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/B450M Pro4/index.asp#Specification) or the MSI B450 Gaming Plus (https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B450M-GAMING-PLUS/Specification) at an $80 or $80-20 MIR price point respectively. I don't know which of the two motherboards is better to go with, essentially if the extra $20 for the ASRock is worth it. I also don't know which case I should get, I'm looking for something reasonably compact and sleek but don't want to shell out too much for the case. Thanks In Advance
  2. I can get a 1TB HP for 1200, but I dont need 1 TB
  3. Which laptop is better for me. I will be using it for productivity (a bunch of chrome tabs), no gaming really. Light illustrator and photoshop, also word. Two choices (Open to the Razer blade stealth) $1000 USD http://www.costco.com/HP-ENVY-x360-13-y013cl-13t-Touchscreen-2-in-1-Laptop---Intel-Core-i7---QHD%2B-.product.100317294.html $1300 USD on the 25th-28th http://www.costco.com/Dell-XPS-13-Touchscreen-Laptop---Intel-Core-i7---Quad-HD%2B.product.100312943.html?pageSize=96&catalogId=10701&keyword=1073323&langId=-1&storeId=10301 TIA
  4. Hows this one? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16834154302
  5. I don't like pointing sticks at all, love multitouch on trackpads. I'm going to use it for productivity and editing with a lot (100ish) chrome tabs for school and also light gaming with moderate titles (GTA5 and Skyrim remastered and witcher 3 for instance). Thats why im a bit more spec heavy but mainly productivity.
  6. Hello All, I am looking to buy a new laptop with a budget of around $1350 and want these specs: i7 quad core (like 6700HQ) 16/32GB RAM 256 GB NVME SSD 1 TB HDD Discrete gpu I have a Costco membership and was looking at http://m.costco.com/ASUS-ROG-GL552VW-Laptop---Intel-Core-i7---4GB-NVIDIA-Graphics---4K-Ultra-HD.product.100307811.html but the trackpad is complete crap (and 960M isn't that impressive). Does anyone have any suggestion about one with a good trackpad (I love the Macs for their trackpads, it's one thing they did right). Anything with a pascal GPU would be great and maybe even a Kaby Lake. Thank You in advance!
  7. It's going to be for productivity use so I wouldn't mind.
  8. I'm getting a factory refurb so I can get a better monitor for way less.
  9. Hello, I currently have an ASUS MX279H monitor which is a widescreen 1080p, a standard run of the mill 1080p monitor that's IPS. I am going to buy either a Samsung S27D850T or a Samsung S29E790C monitor to have two monitors going. The computer driving this has an i7 6700K and a Samsung 850 EVO SSD and will have a GTX 1070 (the wait continues). The two monitors I am interested in are: the S27D850T for $250 with a 1440p IPS 5ms response flat panel or the S29E790C for $280 with a 1080p IPS 4ms response curved, ultrawide panel. Should I spend the extra 30 and go down from 1440 to 1080 for the curved ultrawide? Thanks in advance!
  10. Hello, I am having a lot of bsod cashes (about 1-2 a day) with ntoskrnl.exe on my Windows 10 PC: attached a bunch of dumps from the issues i've been having. I've done memtest without errors with multiple passes. What can I do to fix these issues. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/fny09lpua3z8hsl/AADezWyrShib...
  11. What Monitor should I buy? I need a monitor with displayport and hdmi that is above 25in, widescreen good, however due to my desk it needs to be less than 18 inches (that's available space but be slightly less so it fits well) in height including stand at lowest setting. I prefer a small bezel and matt black. I don't need a USB hub or speakers but they are allowed. I also don't need extreme tilt/swivel but again it's allowed. Thanks in advance!
  12. Why nether? Are Naga's Bad?
  13. What is the difference between the Razer Naga Chroma and the Razer Naga Epic Chroma? Besides Epic being wireless and the higher DPI of the the Non Epic what makes the Epic $50 USD more? Comparison link on Razer: http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-mice/razer-naga-chroma Thanks in advance!
  14. It's a tad bit over 600 USD and the specified budget translates to 604 USD. It isn't over by a large margin after MIR.
