most of the work im doing is random and i dont know to to categorize it repair and testing i guess alot of random things that come thru my work space some times are missing labels or the original power cords and bricks i figure being able to dial up the voltage little by little till what ever im testing is working properly or i find out its dead. right now i have a bunch of different power bricks scavenged from different old electronics and i just kind of jump out till i find what i need. any recommendations are welcome =] 60v 10a sounds perfect but im looking for a already made product i can just plugin and tune quickly something reliable thats not going to break on me if i do something stupid which is likely to happen lol

Hey guys im in the market for a variable voltage power supply i had tried making my own ghetto version out of a old PC power-supply i had and it was Ok for somethings but its just to many wires laying out and id rather have a real one i can just adjust to what i need when i need it im not very familiar with some of the brands iv seen selling these so i figured id ask and see if anyone on here had any information they wouldn't mind sharing and maybe some suggestions on what your using and why if you have one? looking to spend as much as 200-300$ although iv seen some way cheaper like in the 80$ range i don't if they are any good. also needs to be able to power at least 30v and 5amps more wouldn't hurt.

hey was just about to make a post about this but i found yours i plan on playing maybe i noticed you can pay right now for early access i was wondering how it is if you have gotten into it yet? or should i just wait for the more polished game latter? also the website made it look like the early access was only for PS4 and not pc...? maybe i miss understood it

well lets say I want to waste some money for a quality listening experience what would be my next step? well I feel this post covers the basics reasons for needing a amp or dac it would be cool if you included some more detailed information for people who haven't even gotten started. I feel this is just targeted to the people who have headphones already. make this a super post with lots of info and im sure it will get a tack on the board at some point its still a little short.

i have a m17x r3 i got back in 2009 for college and light gaming i used it as my main gaming computer up till October of last year when i built my desktop to finally replace it but from the homework i did back then price to performance everything i looked into for upgrading was a waste of money other than a SSD upgrade which you already have. for thermals tho speaking from experience open that baby up and clean her out the way the 2 blower fans work in the alienware computers the fins in the back were the air comes out gunk up pretty bad and fast! i probably took myn apart to clean it every few months during the time i used it as my daily driver. also replace the stock thermal paste with something decent i found that helped a tiny bit but mostly you just need a decent cooling pad if you want to game on it i played wow on myn for almost 4 years any extended play time required a cooling pad.

Hey guys so im sick of my poop modem/wifi combo from Time Warner Cable and im looking to buy my own. now iv already found one i believe to be good but im not sure so im here for some advice. so im considering the ARRIS SURFboard SBG6782AC which i found on NewEgg for 250$ and then i found the same thing on amazon for 140$ so i was like jesus discount if this thing is actully any good im buying it! so questions My Wireless Card is a TP-LINK Archer T9E AC1900 1. My download speed is 60mbps and my upload is 6mbs (i know its poop but its the best you can get were i live =[ ) alright so my current modem/wireless combo the wireless caps out at 300mbps and this router says up to 1750mbps! my understanding was a direct line with a cat6 was like 1000mbps so is this wireless faster that a direct connection??? or am i retarded? 2. I use wireless on my desktop which is upstairs from my modem so direct connect is not a option i currently get only 2 of 5 bars wireless signal from downstairs will this modem have a better range than a started junk TWC modem or should i be considering something else? 3. if you have a better suggestion im all ears drop some wisdom on me!

Yea thrasher is my last name and I recently invested in a viynl cutter and that is just a decal I made. Sli bridge 30$ on amazon evga one obv I painted the silver edge white. I purchased the cables as I don't have the proper tools to sleeve my own cables and couldn't justify purchasing them to do a single job I think they cost me like 80 USD total for custom cables

some times you just dont need to upgrade i have a machine at work i use that has windows 98 on it but for what it does its perfect.

that sucks man all the metal you have there is stuff you could pull out of the scrap bin were i work and buy for 9c a pound if i had the time something like this would only cost me maybe 100-200$ below is a work bench i made for myself awhile back that only cost me like 40$ in scrap metal. you might want to look around at your local fab shops and sometimes they will sell you scrap steel to small for them to use but its normally perfect for this kind of stuff

i figured this would be the case but i wanted to make sure before i did all the extra work if just cloning my drive now and then upgrading would have been easier work smarter not harder right =p thx for the quick reply.

if i upgrade to windows 10 it saves the key to the computer correct??? iv been getting mixed answers about this. reason i ask is because i plan to replace the hard drive with a SSD down the line and i was wondering if id have to put windows 7 on the ssd and then upgrade again? i have a usb copy of windows 10 already so if the key is saved to the computer i should be able to hook up my ssd and do a clean OS install with out needing a key (as it would be already in the system?) correct or am i not understanding this right? thx for taking the time to read and offer help =]
