  1. Dear Linus Forums, I'm excited to play fallout 4 but I'm not sure my PC can handle it on a decent quality without getting frame drops. If it can't then what would you recommend for an upgrade? I will have around £300 to spend on upgrades. Please give suggestions. Please take into account that I have OEM windows so I'd prefer not to have to get a new motherboard as it would cost a lot to replace windows. I was thinking maybe getting a GTX 970? Even then I'm sure that would be severely bottlenecked by my fx-6300 but the best I can get for my motherboard is an FX-8350 and apparently its not worth the money for an extra two cores and a higher clock speed. Anyway I don't know so. You tell me. Thanks in advance to anyone who helps.
  2. This is my current PC. I'm keeping my motherboard, sorry but I'm not going through the hassle of getting a new one. For example I have an OEM product key for Windows which is locked to my current motherboard and I can't afford a new Windows key. I was thinking of upgrading to an FX-8350 and an Nvidia GTX 970 within the next month but I wanted to check if there was any better options. (And yes, I do know that I will need to upgrade my 500W power supply to be able to handle something like an FX-8350)
  3. Only Aruxx's suggestion has been in my price range.
  4. 1) Needs to be from a respectable brand. 2) Semi decent mic. 2) I don't want much sound leaking, helps if I want to play loud games at 3 in the morning without waking up family members. 3) Preferably from scan.co.uk or amazon.co.uk Any help's much appreciated. Thanks.
  5. About an hour ago i used the windows 8 settings to reset my pc fully. Im on the part with the windows logo and "resetting your pc xx%" Its been on 66% for about half an hour now whereas it was moving steadily up before that. Is it stuck or is it just at a specific part of the process?
  6. Okay thanks, didn't know if that would work because on the bitdefender website it has my pc registered with it's name.
  7. I recently purchased Bitdefender Total Security 2015 (now it's updated to 2016) from g2a. However it is only a single PC license. If I factory reset my pc from new, how can i transfer it to my 'new' windows installation?
  8. I'm not sure about the Note 5 but a lot of samsung devices come with a free 50gb upgrade to dropbox so the expandable storage wouldn't be TOO big of a deal if you have pictures/videos taking up space, however I do know how annoying it is having to delete apps and I do not know if it is on the note 5. USB3 is nice but I get along fine without it. Do you need it? The bigger battery however IS annoying. Part of the reason I got an LG G3 because the 3,000mAh battery but that doesn't last as long as I thought, it will last even less time on a bigger, brighter display like the Note 5's. In tests online it apparently survives 10 hours which is not brilliant. It's up to you entirely though.
