i believe when there is a cpu bottleneck, the cpu is at 100% load while the gpu is only below 60%

Imagine your CPU is running @100% LOAD and your GPU only has like 50% LOAD, the CPU is most likely bottlenecking or the software isn't using your GPU

Sounds a good idea, I also have a spare 6870 in case my R9 390 ever kicks the bucket.

i'd keep the air cooler, it'll probably perform better. Keep the AIO as backup

y'know what, i'm waiting for them to get back around to the GTX 5000 series etc, basically until they start re-using old names. In 100 years from now there'll probably be another 980Ti out..
 
Personally though, if they could move awaty from the numerical thing that'd be great. Take a leaf out of AMD's book, make other cards with actual names, like a "Hercules" series and have new add-ons, like "Hercules Rage" or something

My G3258 was a stuttering bastard, you'd be much better off with a cheap i3-41xx series CPU.

Yeah, that's the main reason I want the Pentium, I can get an i5 later.
