Just this week I purchased 5 6tb Seagate Ironwolves to complement the 5 I already had in my server, the original models are the ST6000VN001 model and the new ones are the ST6000VN006 model. The new ones were advertised as being the ST6000VN001 model, however i received the ST6000VN006 model instead. I plan to use the new and old drives in their own separate vdev's and I was wondering if this will result in any serious issues or should I return the new drives for the same model as the old ones.

I did some more poking around and found someone who had bought a few 9211 cards and even had linked to some on ebay, they reported back a few weeks later saying all was good and to recommend the cards to anyone else, I'm now just waiting on a set of breakout cables.

I hear they have some internet out in Californee.

I'm looking at buying a 16 sata port pci-e card for my server and have found 2 options on amazon https://amzn.asia/d/j42YwUv https://amzn.asia/d/1c1rMwB I was wondering if anyone as used either of these and what their experience was like, and if anyone can recommend something else instead.

For Regular desktop use they work fine, the WD black drives which are the 7200rpm high performance line are somewhat more expensive than WD blue or Seagate Barracudas, it also depends on what you want to use them for.

I've read on the specs of a couple of different coolers and water blocks that coolers designed for socket 1151 "should" be compatible with socket 1200 motherboards, can anyone confirm this?

I am interested in purchasing a Razer Wireless headset and i noticed that it uses that same 2.4ghz frequency that WiFi uses, i have heard of a number of cases that some wireless headsets have had conflicts with WiFi as a result of this, has anyone had any of these problems with Razer headsets?

I am putting together a custom water cooling loop in the next few months and i have seen some posts about using the right type of tubing, more specifically that i shouldn't use vinyl tubing bought from the hardware store and only use tubing that is meant for water cooling, can anyone tell me what the differences are?

I am upgrading the Graphics cards and will need at least a 1200w psu, i plan to get one 2080ti now and perhaps another in the future when the next line of nvidia cards is announced, i am also putting a home server together which is where the rm750x is going (yes i am aware that this is overkill, but i will be greatly expanding the number of hdd's in the server as needed and will be adding in a graphics card for plex transcoding.)

In the near future i will be swapping the power supply in my current build from a Corsair rm750x to a Corsair hx1200, will i need to change out the internal power cables or will they be compatible with the new power supply as it will be the same brand?

Thank your for reply, what can you tell me about the gaming OC cards? that is a model which has caught my attention, the difference from the others being the middle fan which spins in the opposite direction to the others, they say this improves the temps and air flows, but does this make any difference? or is this just snake oil and jargon designed to make us want to buy one of these over anything else.

I'm thinking of buying a Gigabyte graphics card and i was wondering what sort of reputation they have these days. I have heard some polarizing stories about their motherboards, but i haven't heard much about their graphics cards, can anyone shed some light at all? are they on par with the other brands? If i shouldn't buy a Gigabyte what should i buy?

I am currently putting together a plex streaming server and i have an old ATI 5870 lying around, as far as i know this card still works and i was wondering if i could use this for transcoding, i have researched this a little and have come across nothing that says it can't be done, yet many times i have seen somebody recommend an Nvidia card for transcoding with Plex, is anyone using an AMD card at all? if so please let me know
