  1. Not going to lie I was going to mention this lol. The 750x is quieter and larger fan as well as higher quality caps and longer warranty.
  2. Hello. It's been a while since I've spec'd out a system but here it is. Please feel free to comment if you have any input about the parts selected or other recommendations. Thank you. 3. My current main monitor is 27" 1080p https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/p/accessories-and-software/monitors/gaming/66a3gccbus it's better than my other 2 which I use as my side and vertical monitors. My side monitors are one of the budget AOC monitors and I was looking to replace my main with 1440p or higher for gaming and coding (my main job). I have a laptop that is 2880 x 1800 OLED and my god even though its 14" I prefer it for coding just because of how readable everything is. I may need glasses but I honestly prefer the OLED clean look especially when consuming media. The main reason I am asking for help is because I really don't just myself to research and buy a monitor I will not regret (also a bit afraid of buying an OLED for my desktop because I use my computer probably more than 12 hours a day every day). My budget is probably around $800 but cheaper is preferred. If my dream monitor really is a dream for that price I am still open to see what all my options are. In advance thanks for you help if you decide to comment Also I might want to replace my vertical with a flat monitor because currently it is a curved TN panel 1080p. -- Edit I say OLED but I believe IPS also is pretty clear if I'm not mistaken (I literally have only ever seen TN and VA panels ) -- Edit 2 Just saw the QLED Alienware https://www.amazon.com/Alienware-AW3423DW-34-18-inch-3440x1440-Curvature/dp/B09VQ48X5Q and honestly I would be down for an ultrawide (I always blow up my budget lol) -- Edit 3 The Odyssey OLED G8 looks insane
  4. I'm not the only person using my media server And some of those other people are not on LAN lol.
  5. Sorry, just hit me that the Cloud 2 are a headset mic combo. You'll likely need to split the audio and mic to separate cables because isolators only come in TRS (2 ring) format (I'm pretty sure).
  6. There might be a grounding issue with your PC/Headphones/AudioJack I find the easiest solution is to just buy like a $8 ground loop isolator (often branded for use in cars).
  7. From what I could tell. I chose it based on the amount of streams you can use with the card, the codecs it supports, the price I was able to get for it, and the media delivery service I have that supports hardware transcoding, also less power consumption. With my setup all media I have on the machine is converted to nvenc x265 and having a gpu for that speeds up the process greatly. I would have bought something like quadro m5000 but was able to get a p4000 for around the same price.
  8. Plz no roast I tired to do research AMD Ryzen 5 2600 48 GiB DDR4 PNY Quadro P4000 Unraid 6.11.3 Just picked up a quadro because the 1080 TI in the machine was a mined card that was utterly destroyed. My setup is primarily a media server and recently it has been struggling with transcoding. I know I should probably upgrade the cpu so if you have recommendations for that that would be cool but hopefully this quadro was a correct decision. Initially I wanted to go for intel arch but seeing as Unraid runs on a kernel that is lower than v6, it wouldn't be possible yet lol so maybe in the future I will be able to take advantage of that spicey AV1 format.
  9. its np but on god, the Zenbook non x edition, imo has the best back design I've seen. The X is the special edition or pro edition and the extra price is just stuff I don't need lol.
  10. Oh, won't be running tripple A or anything like that. I am a minecraft developer lol. Also wow, that should be how tax is displayed, here in the states tax is based on a per-state basis even when buying online (it sucks here, and we have a 25% tax for any product containing a GPU). But anyways your reply got me searching and I found the asus zennbook I wanted, ASUS ZenBook 14X OLED 14” 2.8K 16:10 Display, Intel Core i7-12700H but it is wildly more expensive because its a limited edition I believe. Another contender is this Lenovo IdeaPad 7i Pro so I would say the budget has shifted (I want this damn Asus ) But yeah no need for a discrete GPU
  11. For me the laptop shows $750 at best buy (ok tax and all) but damn I really like the look of the zenbook the ram is probably the worst thing about it but I hear it is dual channel and the i5 isn't too bad. -- Edit I mean a discrete card is not mandatory gaming is just a want my main concern is just working on the go. -- Edit Again Oh you mean the i7 skew isn't in my budget. I mean the budget isn't that strict but yeah I am looking for a thin laptop that I can just take everywhere.
  12. Hey! I'm finally in the market for a laptop and I've been poking around for a bit and I can across the Asus Zenbook 14 and it's in my price range. I have been searching but I can only seem to find 1 skew. I could of sworn I hear people talk about and i7 version or a version with 16gb of ram but I cannot seem to fine one. My budget is around $800 USD and I am a programmer. I also hope to do light gaming like Civ, Starbound, Minecraft. I also use a lot of Photoshop and premiere pro. If anyone has any recommendations for me, I would appreciate it https://www.bestbuy.com/site/asus-zenbook-14-2-8k-oled-laptop-intel-evo-platform-12th-gen-core-i5-processor-8gb-memory-256gb-ssd-ponder-blue-ponder-blue/6494331.p?skuId=6494331&irclickid=TAYQEcyc2xyLWAL0EkzjZTwgUkD3teQ92XIx0k0&irgwc=1&ref=198&loc=Ultra Media Services SRL&acampID=0&mpid=3266744
  13. Hi! So I finally setup my unraid server and currently I want to use it for several things, media encoding for videos and something along the lines of a plex server (just not using plex). I also plan to setup nextcloud on it. Currently it is just mining and the gpu is staying at 74C and I was just wondering if it would be worth it to try and undervolt the card to bring that tempurature down?
