  1. So I updated my GPU driver to the latest from NVIDIA, 397.64. After this though the button that on the fly changes my monitors refresh rated ceased to work. I now can only set its refresh rate in the NVIDIA control panel. This wouldn't be the worst thing ever but now any applications that use GPU acceleration on other monitors lag awfully with whatever they are displaying. I've tried a driver reinstall 3 times and several restarts. Any ideas? EDIT: Seems reverting to driver 391.01 fixed the issues. No idea why.
  2. Dunno. Im currently running a 1600x1200 used Dell panel so anything is better
  3. So the extra pixels don't make it harder to drive? How does that work?
  4. Hello again everyone, I was curious to see that if my current rig (i7 4790k, 16GB DDR3, ASUS GTX 1070 8OG) would be able to drive the ASUS ROG PG348Q, with running modern games at high or ultra settings. Thanks!
  5. Ah ok. Thanks for the help, I appreciate it.
  6. Fair enough. Looked at the one you sent, and is this one just an updated version of that one? Seems like it to me. https://www.amazon.com/Dell-Gaming-S2716DG-LED-Lit-Monitor/dp/B0149QBOF0/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1507440536&sr=8-2&keywords=27+inch+1440p+144hz+gsync
  7. How are the colors and everything?, and how easy is it to OC the refresh rate?
  8. Hello. I have been looking into getting a new monitor finally and was looking for some recommendations. Ideally I would like it to be 27 inch 1440p running G-Sync at 144HZ. I know their gonna be pricey but Im looking somewhere from 400-600 hopefully. Thanks.
  9. Just to clarify what your saying, you're running some form of a connection out of your TV to your receiver, which powers all your speakers. With the preset you want to use, PCM would be the best one as your receiver as that will put the audio to the speakers exactly the way the media has it, whether it be 5.1 or stereo. I would think your TV would handle everything by itself, and just pass through the audio when you select the receiver as the output.
  10. Info page says it does, so yes.
  11. Something like this would work for your friend. http://a.co/bc6miXb
  12. The best way I could think of to do this (securely), is to setup your own VPN service running off a server or VM that would allow you to tunnel to your LAN from an external connection.
  13. If you have the routers on the same LAN being connected via Ethernet cabling, aka one being your main one and another just acting as a switch/AP, not doing any DHCP tasks then yes. If you have one router wirelessly extending the main one then you will start running into some pretty serious performance drops with your network speeds. If running a direct cable isn't an option, have you possibly looked into Ethernet Power line Injectors?
  14. In my opinion, and what I am currently using, you will most likely get better performance out of using the full router set in "bridge" mode for extending your wireless connection due to it having beefier hardware inside, along with larger antennas.
  15. Clarifying, do you mean like output devices?
