  1. So I am replacing my CPU and wanted to see if it's worth it to replace the CPU cooler while I'm at it. The case I'm using is the Sharkoon C10 (due to portability reasons, even though the airflow is terrible). What cooler, as cheap as possible while cooling an i5-4670 adequately, is the best in my scenario? The height has to be under 150mm according to Sharkoon's site, but there is no info about the actual width of the cooler. I don't know if that is potentially a problem, as there is little space inside of the case.
  2. That's the stand, but the stand connects to one end of the ring mount (which is 3/8") and the other end screws around the microphone, which is noticably bigger. The difference between the 21mm inner diameter and the outer diameter of the microphone isn't that big*, wouldn't say that the difference is bigger than 1/8"
  3. What actually would be the right size? Is 21mm a standard used size, and what size is the outer diameter of the NT-USB? I'm having a hard time finding this information.
  4. Since Razer Comms stopped (yes, I actually used that, and it worked like a charm for me) I have downloaded Discord for the occasional gaming on PUBG with some friends. It works great, never had any problem with it other than Discord not automatically using the speakers that you have set as your default speakers in Windows, but it using the speakers you have set as default in Discord itself. They should make it an option that it doesn't do that.
  5. So I have a RODE NT-USB. Sadly, I broke the ring mount which is apparently hard to find, so I had to look for other options. I decided to buy a shock-mount (specifically; https://goo.gl/fMS48P ) But when I received the item, I found out the screwthread of my microphone isn't big enough to fit the 21mm inner diameter of the shock mount. A temporary solution was to put tape around the screw thread, but that only helps a little. It's still very unstable in the mount. Is there any way to attach it to the shock-mount in a more sturdy way?
  6. Im not sure, I have no clue how to see if the cooler would interfere with my RAM as I don't know what the dimensions are of the board for a CPU cooler.
  7. Its 120mm wide and 159mm tall, so no, it's not inside those 15cm's. Also, it's not a top blower cooler, so the cooling would be fairly bad in my specific case to all likeliness.
  8. So I, for portability reasons, have an ITX-build. However, the build can get pretty loud when gaming with the stock cooler that came with the CPU when I bought it. So I started looking for a good and cheap replacement, as the problem is noticeable but not bad enough for me to justify getting a €100 cooler (I was looking in the range of 30 to max 40 euros). However, it seems like there is little information about compatibility between the cpu cooler and ITX-motherboards. Maybe that is because of the restrictions I have: it has to be a top-blower style cooler, and it can only be up to 15cm tall (so no Hyper 212 for me unfortunately) and it prefereably has to not interfere with my high-profile RAM. The specs of the PC are as follows: Sharkoon C10 ITX Case MSI H81I Motherboard i3-4160 (LGA1150) GTX 960 (4GB WindForce edition) High profile (I know, it was second hand so that's why I bought them) RAM (Corsair Vengeance) The PC is oriented in a way so that the yellow square is on the top right when looking at it from the front. What CPU cooler should I get, and should I add a 140mm fan (at the top of the case, for intake/outtake) or a 80mm fan at the back of the case as well? Also, what thermal paste would be good for a low price? Thanks in advance!
  9. It wont get a driver update which improves it by 10-20% so it would be on par with the 780Ti though, and even if it would, there would be a €40-60 price difference. But fair enough, it's a nice card and it sure is a great price/performance ratio for a non-secondhand card
  10. A RX480 is way less powerful (unless Vulcan is being used, and even then it's about the same performance..). Normal games just play better on a 780Ti (Also, https://tweakers.net/pricewatch/567947/sapphire-radeon-rx-480-nitro+-4g.html showed me that the cheapest RX480 is around 240 euro, and the GTX 780 Ti is €200 before negotiation http://www.marktplaats.nl/a/computers-en-software/videokaarten/m1106687910-asus-gtx-780-ti.html?c=a2384ef0ece270f44503df9f8598c624&previousPage=lr&pos=11. Already a 20% difference right there.)
  11. Would be second hand of course, a GTX780Ti goes for around 180 euros, pretty nice price/performance ratio's if you ask me
  12. I am thinking about getting a GTX780 or GTX780Ti, but I am currently only using a 500W PSU (http://www.coolermaster.com/powersupply/office-home-elite-power/elite-power-v2-500w/). I am wondering if this PSU would actually be able to fully deliver the power that the 780 needs, as the GeForce site claims that a 600W PSU is minimal. What do you guys think? My equipment: 1TB HDD 256GB SSD Intel I3-4160 Cooler Master 500W v.2 H81M-P33 (out of the top of my head)
  13. So I was wondering what GPU's are the best 'bang for your buck' for each price range right now, since there have been a few new GPU's released in the last couple of months/weeks. I personally am looking for a GPU under or around $300, but can imagine that other people would be looking for a graphics card in a different price range, so feel free to give your opinions about other price ranges as well! I used a GTX 960 up until yesterday, as it will be returned to the seller due to a production defect, and I am looking for a similair experience at a lower cost or a better experience at a similair price tag. Thanks in advance!
  14. Pretty much everything, from DayZ to Battlefield 4 to PES16. Just assume I want a CPU good enough to not bottleneck a 970 or something in those lines.
  15. So, I wanna upgrade my CPU from an I3-4160 to any other CPU that is significantly better (using the same socket). Some might say that second hand CPU's are not worth it, but I'm willing to take the risk as it is so much cheaper than getting a whole new motherboard, RAM and CPU for a new socket (I don't want to invest in an expensive new CPU for an old socket if possible, only if it's a noticeable difference in price/quality ratio, which it isn't in most cases). I use an OC'ed 960, so bottlenecking isn't the problem for now, just an upgrade for future use (probably the upcoming year to two years) and the PC is used mostly for gaming, so the CPU should be aimed at gaming performance. What second hand CPU would be a good option for me? (BTW, linking probably won't help me that much, as I'll use a dutch site to buy the second hand CPU from). Thanks in advance, Martin
