What's your networking/internet setup? Me? I have the main router downstairs, and this messy, but somehow working, setup. It does very well.

So.... I'm not going to be able to compete with the OP. All of this gear is off the shelf and excluding cabling the network itself (i.e. routers, APs, switches etc) is only ~$500 worth of gear. Maybe a bit more, I don't exactly keep track. Anyways, here's mine. I'm pretty happy with it and I thought this thread needed something a bit simpler
 

 
A bit of a guide to reading it....
- Each box is a separate room
- Solid lines are Ethernet, fine dotted lines are powerline and dashed lines are wireless
- The thickest solid lines are 1Gbps links, the other lines are 100Mbps
- NAS is a consumer grade 2 bay NAS, the two Sonos speakers are Play 1s
- 8Mbps Internet..... because Australia

in every thread where someone asks a question comparing two nvidia cards : i.e 970 vs 980, instead of the fanboys giving the op an answer they just say "390" without considering asking what games op plays and if they need nvidia features like shadowplay..
and also they live in denial about the gtx 970 3.5gb.. it is not as bad as they make it out to be.. 
and whenever the 580 or 480 is mentioned.. that gif turns up even tho it is an overused joke. i have never seen some of these fanboys ask what games op plays and i have never seen them recommend an nvidia card even if it was better for what the OP needed..

No such thing as future proofing, but the 390 adds 2 inches. I'm joking. It adds girth. Still joking. Both are good cards but if you go AMD go Sapphire.

AF140 QE's are good but PW2's are better if you don't mind going away with the red rings.

i just got soo sick of vessel buffering every 3 minutes and had to say somthing! my internet speed is 25mb - 5mb i can stream YouTube in 4k no probs but vessel struggles in even 720p. it wouldn't bother me but i pay for it and if you make people pay for the service you should at least have server capable of streaming at an acceptable speed. its soo damn annoying
