Just for the record I am pretty sure he meant 2560x1440 in the title. With the same aspect ratio, the field of view would not change.

I have a NVidia Card who can manage all this Featurs, but I dont like this exclusives idea. All Gamers should get everything a Game has to offer, no matter what Brand they use.

Actually - AMD HAVE developed some featuresets but Nvidia are the ones going around paying off devs.
See - They have Tress FX, True Audio and up until recently - Mantle. The difference is AMD don't cripple Nvidia when those are implemented and they don't pay off devs to use them.
Do you think every dev that used Gameworks likes it? Half have commented on it being a "Black box", a "Bottomless box" that they know 0 things about how it works as they don't have the code. Honestly, I dislike the idea of Nvidia locking away code from the devs of the game and going out of their way to cripple the competitor while also doing it themselves. Remember Witcher 3? Hairworks? Well - the Tess is set to 64X times - some guys lowered it down to 16X and there was literally no difference. Remember Crysis 2? The water is tessellated beyond recognition - when using the map viewer there are random objects - like a vase or a plank on the wall that are so tessellated that when you turn grid view on you see a black object - millions of polygons to cripple GPU performance - thing is - it reduces Nvidia's fps by 20% but AMD's by 50% so it's worth in their eyes.

Spaced got a reaction from Muz in Nvidia gameworks is bad for gamers, devs and the market as a whole
I've been looking at buying a new GPU recently and it has been one hell of a struggle choosing. So much so that I haven't made up my mind between the AMD R9 390 or the GTX 970.

You see my journey into GPU research has left me feeling pretty bummed out. So Nvidia use gameworks... This sucks. Even though the AMD R9 390 is clearly the better performer at the same price and AMD have the architecture to support DX12 gaming better than the latest 900 series Nvidia cards. They still won't be able to do the awesome graphical features that can be achieved with gameworks. Heres a couple of videos to show you how cool some of this stuff is
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FHrmAF9IzQU.

If your into having the best graphics then its hard to ignore the fact you will be missing out on seeing really cool looking graphical features the devs took the time to design. Especially when you can spend £600 on an R9 Fury X and still will not have the best graphics on certain games. Without competition in the market then we are at the mercy of Nvidia to give us whatever they want and there will be no other company around to challenge them to produce good tech. Like it or not Nvidia fanboys you need AMD and the longer Nvidia keeps this divide present by not making these technologies uniform for all gamers then that's bad for all of us. Not just people who want to buy an AMD.

I think this issue needs more attention so I thought I would post about it here. Please feel free to add your thoughts also.

I'm looking into buying a much more modest setup myself but after much research I would say wait. With Asynchronous shading coming into play and nvidia most likely bringing out a new line of gpus to stay up to speed with dx12 and also gsync and freesync becoming more available and cheaper for your monitor. Currently only top of the line monitors offering this and I think its well worth it. I think there will be some nice components/products just on the horizon that will probably spend your money better than say the last year has considering these technologies are pretty new.

Spaced got a reaction from Glenwing in BenQ BL2710PT or GW2765HT? Is the GW2765HT same image quality?
Thought I would put my final thoughts on here. After looking through the information provided by the extremely helpful o0Martin and Glenwing. It seems there is a clear winner. The dell definitely outshines the BenQ monitors. I was extremely surprised to find out how different the quoted specs could be and quite how little I knew about displays in general. At £250 for a Dell 25" IPS screen with half the input lag and G2G response time compared to the BenQ 27" IPS at £275. It is hard to ignore these stats if your interested in gaming, it is just unfortunate that the 27" version of the Dell U2715H costs £405!

I guess if you have the money go for the Dell U2715H with the faster input lagg and response time. - £405

Go for the BenQ GW2765HT if you HAVE to have 27" but can't afford a £405 monitor - £275 (I feel this can be important when going for a 2560x1440 screen)

But for the best spec and best price I would opt for the Dell U2515H - £242

The 2 comparison graphs? They were both from tftcentral, under the Dell's review, with every review they include those graphs and compare it to their findings in other monitors in the similar range that they reviewed.

    Here is the link: http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/dell_u2515h.htm
More specifically under these 2 headers: http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/content/dell_u2515h.htm#gaming & also http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/content/dell_u2515h.htm#lag

Glad you found the reviews somewhat helpful!

As for the response times, like @Glenwing said it really isn't relevant, and you 100% shouldn't worry about it for gaming, especially not with the Dell I mentioned, the U2515H.
I wont try and explain why, because the FAQ Glenwing wrote (And linked you to) will already do a great job of explaining why, and after you read the first 2 points I'm sure you'll understand it a lot more.

But if it helps, the Dell U2515H actually has a better average g2g response time, and a smaller input lag than both the BenQ monitors! Look in the 'spoilers' below for a comparison

If you really want to go into detail, with specific reviews of both displays then these are probably the best:

    BL2710PT: http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/benq_bl2710pt.htm

    GW2765HT: http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/benq_gw2765ht.htm

They don't get much more detailed than that, if you read through both of them I'm sure it will help you decide which to buy.
The panel is the same, but there are other things that make a difference. You'll have to read the reviews to see if it's worth it to you.
